Detailed Itinerary

We pick you up and head 2.5 hours West to Kluane National Park, home of the mightiest mountains in North America and get right into the whole hiking thing! Hike through some of the most incredible scenery in Canada, where the largest Icefields on the continent drain into the lake right below you!

Typical hike: Sheep Creek (12 km, 800m, 4-5 hours)

9 am pick up from your hotel or airport.

Stay: Haines Junction Lodge or Motel 2 nights.

Head South to Kathleen Lake, an often missed area in Kluane NP and get an otherworldly bird’s eye view of the opaline lake and some of the highest peaks in Canada in the distance.

Typical hike: King’s Throne (10 km, 800m, 5 hours).

Today we head North in search of Gold, following in the path of the largest goldrush in Canadian history. Hear some of the sob stories of prospectors who left everything behind in search of riches or ruin in the barren lands of Northern Canada. On the ride to Dawson City, we stop at Eclipse Hot Springs, where you spend some quality time soaking in the various springs and healing waters. Dare to try the cold plunge!

Stay: Dawson City hotel 2 nights.

Venture into Tombstone Territorial Park after a scenic ride up the infamous Dempster Highway. Canada’s most northern mountain park is full of surprises and the views from Grizzly Peak of the towering monolith of Tombstone Peak are sure to impress. Dawson City, known as the Paris of the North, used to be the biggest Canadian city west of Winnipeg and the nightlife is sure to surprise you! Try the famous “Sourtoe Cocktail”, a shot of whiskey with a real toe in it, or spend the wee hours of the night at Diamond Tooth Gerties taking in the can-can show!

Typical hike: Grizzly Ridge (10 km, 600m, 4 hours).

So assuming we don’t find a giant nugget of gold in Dawson City we head down towards Whitehorse today, following the Yukon River and making some stops along the way. No trip to Yukon is complete without visiting the Yukon Wildlife Preserve, to get up close and personal with the locals of the territory. As you stretch your legs on a walk, you have the chance to see mountain goats, elk, moose, caribou, foxes, lynx and even muskox.

Stay: Whitehorse Hotel for 2 nights.

Tucked off the beaten path in the Yukon is a magical area called the Southern Lakes. Here we embark on an incredible hike into the alpine for one last glimpse at the staggeringly endless wilds of this beautiful place. Keep a look out for mountain goats and dall sheep, which are often roaming around the grassy ridges.

Typical hike: Caribou Mountain (8 km, 1000m, 5 hours).

Today you have the option to be dropped off first thing at the airport, or hang with the group for some easy sightseeing around Whitehorse. We explore the gorge at Miles Canyon and check out the suspension bridge. While the adventure has come to an end, we say our sad goodbye’s and make you promise to come on another adventure with us before long!

Drop off: Whitehorse Airport or hotels @ 9 am or 2 pm
