Terms and Conditions

Please read the following terms & conditions carefully before accepting these terms and proceeding with booking and/payment of any money for any Travel product or Tour package. Acceptance of these terms and conditions is mandatory and shall constitute your agreement to all terms and conditions set out below.

THE COMPANY
“The Company” or ‘We’ in the context of these terms and conditions means Global Group Travel Services and any sub brands (Global Tourism Exchange and Hand Crafted Holidays) being a travel agent under business license

VALIDITY & PRICES OF PRODUCT & PACKAGES
All Travel Products /packages shown on our Site may be booked, subject to availability at the time of booking.

All prices quoted/displayed are current at the time of quotation however prices may change due to alterations in exchange rates, airfares, fuel surcharges, taxes, or other price rises and External factors beyond control of ‘The Company’. The rates and price as billed/ invoiced by Company and paid by Traveller shall be final and binding on the Company and the paying travelers.

Any change in price beyond the control of the Company shall be advised as soon as possible by the Company and shall be billed to the Traveller accordingly. Unless otherwise specified, all price are inclusive of Taxes, Payment costs, communication, documentation and taxes. Any changes in prices will be advised on our invoice and revised on further invoices should prices change.

No representation is made that identical, or similar product, packages and services may, or may not, be available at a lower price. Once services are invoiced and paid by you, it signifies the acceptance of the costs of services provided on your invoice, E& OE accepted.

PRODUCT/SERVICES/PACKAGE PRICES
All our Prices are applicable for bona fide international leisure travelers.

Any Service provider(s) may refuse to honor our vouchers if presented by travelers who are unable to meet local qualifications, if any, for international leisure travelers. In some cases, Conference attendees and business travelers may not qualify. So please check and ensure your eligibility before proceeding. We will not be liable for any loss on account of above.

Prices shown in the brochure are only available when booked and paid for in advance in Australia. Where services and payments are extended overseas locations, locally published prices may be applied. Please familiarize yourself with these issues at the time of booking.

GUARANTEES & WARRANTEES
We do not offer any guarantee for our prices being the lowest However, we confirm and affirm that our prices as competitive viz a viz the services provided by us taking into account the processes and allocated staff time to process all bookings.

Further, to the extent permitted by law, all express and implied warranties, guarantees, representations or terms are expressly excluded.

Where the applicable law imposes any warranty or guarantee or condition which cannot be excluded, our liability under this agreement for any breach is limited to supplying the same services at zero cost or equivalent cost applicable on that date. Please note that Company in no case will be liable for liquidated damages under any circumstances.

Maximum Liability- Notwithstanding anything contained elsewhere in the terms and conditions, to the extent permitted by law, our maximum liability to Travelers and/ or any third party is limited to the price paid to us for the relevant Product/Service package.

ACCOMMODATION STANDARDS
Hotels are generally selected for location, facilities and value. For some of the remote and small locations we may need to use basic accommodation on ‘best available’ basis. Classifications are based on assessments provided by authenticated social media sites and local tourism Board or authorities in the respective countries and reflect the type of facilities offered, rather than denoting a star rating of the hotel. Photographs are indicative and intended to give a general impression only and city maps are only a guide to the location of the hotel. The travelling guests are requested to check the rating available for such accommodation in social media or other travel related websites. Any accommodation requested or insisted by travelers or their travel agents that have not been inspected by our team or our local supply partners will remain at the full liability of the traveler or their travel agent

HOTEL FACTS & FACILITIES
The mention of facilities such as parking, gyms, saunas etc. does not imply that the use of these facilities is free of charge, unless specified otherwise. Where charges apply, they will be payable locally (unless otherwise specified). Tea and coffee making facilities in rooms are the exception rather than the rule. Swimming pools, heating and air-conditioning may not necessarily available round the year. Please check availability at the time of booking .

Hotel and facility descriptions featured on our Site are based on hotel guides and information provided by suppliers and are subject to change without notice. Photographs and picture shown may not always reflect the exact room, décor, view or other specifications.

CHOICE OF BEDs
All prices quoted are normally based on twin share accommodation, unless otherwise stated. Requests for specific and preferred bed type, if any, must be made at the time of booking, which may NOT be guaranteed at all times. Double rooms may have either twin or double beds (king/queen size). It is common practice to link two single beds together to use as a double bed. Single rooms are often smaller than other rooms and may contain a single bed. Triple rooms usually consist of a twin or double bedded room with an additional sofa bed, folding bed or rollaway for the third person – the room may be seem bit cramped as a result. In villas and service apartments the bed type is as available at the time of publication or booking, and is subject to change at times. Multiple bedrooms in villas, apartments or similar may not always ensure total privacy.

TRAVELLERS WITH CHILDREN
Unless otherwise specified, the accompanying children ( sharing room with parents/two adults) may be charged separately. So it is advised that the travelers declare & specify the age and number of Children travelling alongwith adults and want them to shares a room with two paying adults. In case of free stay for accompanying child, an extra bed may not be provided and the child could be expected to share an adult’s bed. Additional charges may be levied and paid directly for child meals. Where a child is accommodated with paying parents/adults at discounted rate , the child shall be provided with a extra bed, normally a rollaway. However, in case where children stay in a room without two adults, the full adult charge may apply.

SPECIAL REQUESTS & REQUIREMENTS
No special arrangement/provision is possible for travelers with physical or mental disabilities. Some accommodation and sightseeing may involve walking or climbing stairs. Special requests, including wheelchair accessible rooms, cabins or limited step access, must be made to us in writing by your Agent while making the booking, and confirmation obtained from us; otherwise any such requests cannot be guaranteed.

TRAVELLERS FITNESS
We, or our agents or Service providers, reserve the right to refuse a reservation, or to de-board/exclude a passenger from a service whose socially unacceptable behavior or medical condition is likely to disturb the smooth operation of a service, or adversely affect the safety or enjoyment of fellow travelers. Any such decision of the Company or its service provider to deny travel or exclude any traveler on the above grounds shall be without recourse, refund or compensation. The decision of the Company in this regard shall be final and binding on the traveler.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS
Product/Services and tour descriptions are correct and accurate at the time of publication. We, or our agents, reserve the right to cancel or modify services due to events/reasons beyond our control including insufficient travelers or adverse weather conditions. Where arrangements are cancelled, full refunds will be provided by us.

PAYMENTS
A initial deposit equivalent to 20% of total tour cost need to be sent through your travel agent (duly authorized by us) within 7 days of making the booking online or otherwise. This is required to secure your reservation, irrespective of the status of the booking. Any delay or failure to pay the initial deposit may result in cancellation of your booking. You may be required to pay an additional deposit , if any requested by the operator.

PAYMENT TERMS

Upon receiving confirmation of service, payments will be required as under:

  • 20% DEPOSIT upon confirmation
  • Balance to be paid 60 days prior to guest arrival

Any advance purchase airlines / train tickets may require full ticket payments at the time of confirmation and would need to be paid in full over the above mentioned payment terms

REBOOKING 
Any reservation which is cancelled or expired due to non- payment of a deposit will be subject to an amendment rebooking fee or subject to new rates or costs based on the terms and conditions of the original booking. Beside immediate payment of the deposit amount. The published rates of rebooking date will be applicable. If Company is unable to confirm the booking, traveler will be notified immediately and the deposit will be refunded in full.

SPECIAL TERMS & DEPOSIT FOR FESTIVAL & SPECIAL EVENTS/ FAIRS/ CARNIVALS
For booking dates covering festival/ events/carnivals such as Easter, Christmas, New Year, Fair Periods, local festival of host country and other special dates or holidays (as per calendar available with our operators), you may be required to pay an additional amount as requested by the operator. This will be advised upon confirmation of your booking.

For any of the booking for the aforesaid special dates, you may be required to pay additional deposits. This is advised upon confirmation of booking. In case of all apartments & villas booking you may be required 100% non-refundable advance deposit on confirmation.

FINAL PAYMENT
Unless otherwise agreed and specified, the final payment is due 60 days prior to departure from Australia except where bookings is made over Easter, Christmas, New Year, Fair or Event Periods and other special dates or holidays (as advised by our operator), the payment has to be made as per specified deadline.

Some airline tickets and/or special offers may require payment well in advance of the normal requirements. We reserve the right to cancel the booking and apply the appropriate cancellation charges where you fail to meet payment deadlines.

SPECIAL BOOKING CONDITIONS AND OPTIONS
Some services cannot be booked without advance monies being paid. These will be advised to you, if applicable. The company shall provide full refund for the service, if the booking of such service cannot be confirmed.

For some Services the company may offer an option for the service requested by Traveler. If the option is advised by your travel agent and accepted by you, full payment (as applicable) for such service must be made within 5 working days in order to confirm your booking. If payment is not received on time the option will automatically lapse.

AMENDMENTS
Any amendment to your confirmed booking may involve cancellation, amendment/rebooking fee as applicable except as stated below
The new booking will be made at the current published rates available at the time of amendment/rebooking.

A proposed amendment or name change may be treated as a cancellation. Any additional charges applied by suppliers are payable by you.

EXCLUSIONS
The price does not include airfares (unless otherwise stated), passport and visa fees, insurance,vaccination and medical expenses, excess baggage, airport departure taxes, local government taxes, laundry, postage, phone calls, fax/email charges, laundry, phone calls, beverages, meals not detailed in the itinerary, tips to tour guides, motor coach drivers and local city guides, items of a personal nature, expenses, entry fees etc. or costs incurred in case of illness, or of refusal of entry to, detention in, or expulsion or repatriation from a country or part of a country. We are not liable for any expense, costs or loss incurred in relation to such matters and you release us from all liability, damages or responsibility in relation to them.

If you wish to hire a self drive car we recommend obtaining an international drivers permit/license prior to departure.

Our prices do not include tips. Tipping tour drivers and guides is customary in most countries. The amount of your tip is left to your discretion and should be seen as a reward for good service.

ADDITIONAL COST & CHARGES
Unless otherwise specified , the travelers may have to bear additional costs where the couriers are used. Also though credit cards are acceptable and may at times incur extra charges detailed at the time of booking.

ERRORS OR OMISSIONS EXCEPTED (E&OE)
The Company reserves the right to correct any errors in rates quoted or calculated for any product/package/service, notwithstanding that the invoice may have been issued and paid in part or full. All confirmed bookings are issued with an invoice detailing the packages/services booked.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Travel documentation will normally be at least issued two weeks prior to departure. Documentation will not be issued until full payment against invoice for the package has been received in full. Issuance of documentation does not extinguish the liability of Traveler to pay outstanding dues, if any.

CANCELLATIONS
All requests for cancellations must be made in writing through the Company in Australia. All such requests will be allotted a Service Request Number (SRN). The Travel agent must retain the SRN and quote the same for all future correspondences in this regard .The Company does not take any responsibility for cancellations of hotel bookings or other services made directly by the client or the client’s travel agent with the service provider, regardless of whether written proof is given.

CANCELLATION CHARGES
Any cancellations made after finalization of services will attract retention charges as per below:

LAND ARRANGEMENT

  • Minimum cancellation – USD 100 per file if cancelled after confirmation ( to cover bank charges etc. )
  • If cancelled between 90-60 days prior to arrival date   : 30% of tour cost
  • If cancelled between 59 and 30 days prior to arrival date : 50% of tour cost
  • No refund (100% cancellation policy) less than 30 days out from first service
    Airline and train ticket cancellations to be as per the policy of the airline /  train cancellation policy.

    PARTIAL CANCELLATION 
    Partial Cancellation of confirmed services forming part of an existing booking will be also be subject to cancellation fees as listed above and in accordance with the pre specified terms and conditions accepted by the travel agent and their traveler.

    SUPPLIER CANCELLATION FEES/CHARGES
    At times hotels, airlines and other service providers offer certain discounted rates for instant purchase rates which may be non-refundable or involve cancellation or amendment fees of up to 100% if changes occur after booking, regardless of the date of travel. These Charges will levied based on the cancellation invoice received for the respective service provider. These Charges may be up to 100% of the cost paid.These fees may be in addition to the charges outlined above.

    Some packages and services have different cancellation terms or may be non-refundable. These will be advised at the time of booking.

    REFUNDS
    No refund will be permissible for any service which is not used by traveler which may be due to late arrival, early departure, or by choice. No employee or agent of the Company is authorized to promise any refund on our behalf .

    TRAVEL INSURANCE
    Travel insurance is not included in our prices for the packages. We strongly recommend that each traveler should purchase travel insurance from your travel agent at the time of booking to cover himself against any unexpected loss of monies paid in the event of cancellation due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances; as well as for medical expenses, loss due of missed/cancelled/delayed flight /loss of passport/baggage etc. and other unexpected expenses incurred while travelling.

    LOCAL SUPPORT
    Contact details of our local agents/representatives are included in documentation. Please do not hesitate to contact local representatives for any assistance in case of any difficulty or changes. If you need to alter your arrangements once overseas or to add services to your booking you may do this through our local agent/representative. Any additional costs for such changes incurred therein must be paid directly. The Company cannot be held responsible for any subsequent complaint with arrangements booked directly with a supplier abroad. Cancellations of confirmed services must be notified to the Company thru email even if you have advised the local representative.

    CUSTOMER’S CLAIMS
    It is always our endeavor to ensure that all arrangements related to travel and package proceed smoothly. However, should a problem occur during your travels it is essential and most practical to try to resolve it locally with the service provider.

    If you are unable to resolve the matter, it should be referred to our local agent/representative immediately. If this is not possible please inform Company immediately. If you are unhappy with your hotel room and facility/services there at please inform the duty manager so the situation may be rectified on the spot.

    If you fail to take these steps, your right to claim compensation may be jeopardised and as such reduced or denied. If still you have an unresolved complaint, please put it to us in writing detailing the efforts made with the local operator to resolve the issue. All unresolved Complaints must be forwarded to the Company with supporting documentation, via your travel agent, within 30 days of the date of the service. No claim made after this period will be entertained .

    OVERBOOKING BY SOME SERVICE PROVIDERS
    You may appreciate that overbooking is resorted to by most airline and hotel in the tourism Industry. Please note that any complaint/ claim arising from overbooking may only be made against particular he airline or hotel concerned. Without prejudice to the foregoing, we will take every possible action to protect your interest should overbooking occur.

    ACCURACY OF CONTENTS
    Every effort has been made to ensure that the content and information provided is accurate. We shall not be liable for any injury, damage or loss caused by any unintended inaccuracy. If for reasons beyond The Company’s control, and if The Company determines in the interest of safety and security or for operational reasons to change your package arrangements, modify or cancel scheduled services and/or accommodation, either in whole or in part we reserve the right to do so, and will endeavor to provide alternative arrangements of the same standard as that originally booked where necessary.

    COMPANY RESPONSIBILITY & LIABILITY
    The Company is not itself a carrier or hotelier; nor do we own aircraft, hotels, coaches or cruise vessels. You will appreciate that the product/services and packages offered by the company involve arranging and coordinating accommodation, tours, cruises and transfers, making bookings thru a number of service providers and issuing vouchers to be redeemed by such service providers; company exercise utmost care in the selection of reputable airlines, tour operators, coach operators, hotels and other service providers of the various travel services used in these packages. It is important to note, therefore, that all bookings with The Company are subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability imposed by airlines, coach operators, hoteliers, and other service providers including but not limited to shipping, rail, car hire and restaurant operators, whose services we utilize, some of which limit or exclude liability in respect of death, personal injury, delay and loss or damage of baggage. We always do our best to ensure that your holiday arrangements are satisfactory, and we accept liability for, but only to the extent of, any loss or damage sustained by you as the result of our negligence, or that of our employees or agents. However The Company does not accept any liability of whatever nature for the acts, omissions or default whether negligent or otherwise, of those airlines, coach operators, shipping and cruise companies, hoteliers or other persons providing services in connection with your services pursuant to a contract between themselves and yourself (which may be evidenced in writing by the issue of a ticket, voucher, coupon or the like) and over which the Company has no direct and exclusive control. The Company does not accept responsibility in contract or in tort (actionable wrong) for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by force majeure or other events which is beyond its control, or which are not preventable by reasonable diligence on the part of The Company, including but not limited to war, civil disturbance, fire, flood, unusually severe weather, acts of God, acts of Government or any other authorities, accidents to, or failure of machinery or equipment, or industrial action (whether or not involving our employees and even though such actions may be settled by acceding to the demands of a labor group).

    PRIVACY
    You consent to our, our agents and related entities to collecting, retaining, using and disclosing your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

    We respect your privacy and will not pass on your details to third parties except as required by law, or in the interests of securing reservations on your behalf. We are unable to accept responsibility for the confidentiality of information after it leaves our direct control.

    TRAVELLER’S RESPONSIBILITY
    You should familiarize yourself with any health, passport or visa requirements that may be applicable in the areas that you intend visiting. You shall be responsible for all entry, exit, health and other documents required by law, regulations, orders, demands or requirements of the countries visited or transited. We will not accept liability for any loss or expense due to your failure to comply. You will be liable for any additional costs incurred (whether by the client or by The Company on the client’s behalf), as a result of failure to comply with such requirements. You accept that you may be travelling through areas of political or climatic instability, high altitude and remoteness without proper medical services, and accept the associated risks. It is your duty to inform your Agent of any circumstances of which we should be aware, such as medical conditions and other facts which could impact on the smooth running of your travel arrangements. The making of a booking constitutes your acceptance of all booking terms and conditions as described herein and forms the basis of your contract with The Company.

    TRAVEL AGENT’S RESPONSIBILITY
    Travel agents are responsible to advise us of any special requirements you may have and to communicate to you any changes or alterations advised to them by us. It is the responsibility of the travel agent to ensure all invoice details are correct and that you are made aware of, and acknowledge all booking conditions. No representation made by your travel agent to you concerning the quality, location, or any other matter in relation to the services and facilities provided by us shall bind The Company unless your travel agent has been expressly or impliedly authorized by us to make such a representation.

    EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY
    In the absence of our negligence, we are not liable for any cancellations, diversions, substitution of equipment, variations, postponements or any other act, omission or default (whether negligent or otherwise) of any supplier nor are we liable for any loss or damage to baggage or property, injury, illness or death, or any other loss (including consequential loss) damage or claim whatsoever arising from the act, error, omission, default or negligence of any person not our direct employee or under our exclusive control.

    We are not responsible for any criminal conduct of any third party.
    If a traveler fails/ignores or neglects to follow the safety instructions or use the safety equipments/gadgets provided in flight/cruise/coach/ cab or any such similar carriage vehicle or equipment, then in such a case neither the Company nor any supplier concerned will be liable for death, injury, or any loss or damage whatsoever that traveler may suffer from any accident /mishap or incident.

    INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL
    You are responsible for all immigration, passport, visa, health, quarantine and customs laws, regulations, orders, demands or other requirements of countries visited or transited. You should check the requirements of those countries with their embassies or consulates or other authorities.

    Official travel advisory issued by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is available by calling (in Australia) 1300 555 135 or visiting their website www.dfat.gov.au. We strongly recommend that you review travel advisory for the Country of Travel both prior to making your booking and prior to departure. We strongly recommend that you also register your upcoming travel plans through the smarttraveller.gov.au site.

    The agreement between us and you( Traveller) in respect of the services to be provided is constituted solely by these terms and conditions stated hereinabove and is governed by the laws of Australia. Both the Parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Australia and the Courts of appeal, if any therefrom.
