Ilboru Safari Lodge
Nestled on the lower slopes of majestic Mt Meru, the legendary Ilboru Safari Lodge has been welcoming safari travellers to northern Tanzania for decades. Ideally located between the northern safari circuit and Mt Kilimanjaro, this beautiful Swahili sanctuary is set on a five-acre plot, tucked away beneath ancient trees on the outskirts of Arusha town.
Our focus is on providing simple comforts and fine hospitality, crisp white linen, extra pillows, fluffy towels, a desk to write in your journal and everything to make our sanctuary your home.

We have forty-eight cottages in which to accommodate our guests including single, double, twin, triple and family rooms. Four cottages are in the main building, close to the pool and other facilities, each with a balcony overlooking the garden. The rest of the double cottages are situated throughout the lushly landscaped grounds.

Morning at leisure with optional activities (payable direct). Safari briefing and lunch at the hotel. Then depart to Tarangire National Park. As you make your way out of Arusha, you leave the busy city behind, and the landscape gives way to vast plains dotted with grass thatched huts. It will be common to see young children tending to herds of cattle and sheep. In the distance, the imposing wall of the Great Rift Valley rises from the horizon. Afternoon arrival at the tented lodge located adjacent to the park for dinner and overnight.

Standard Rooms
Tloma Lodge has been built in the foothills of the highlands of Ngorongoro. It is a small and exclusive lodge with 24 small cottages built in colonial style and 12 rooms overlooking the garden in the main building. The design of the entire complex looks to create an atmosphere evoking the colonial plantations and farms described in many books and films.

The excellent location of Tloma on top of a valley offers fantastic views over a coffee plantation and the walls of the Ngorongoro Crater which can be enjoyed from the private terraces of the rooms.
The gardens, full of flowers and bushes, are particularly attractive, although guests find it difficult to choose between a walk around the gardens or relax around the heated pool.

Chalet type bedrooms situated at ground level with a private terrace or balcony. Overlooking the gardens and/or coffee plantation, the rooms are ample and comfortable. Rooms are furnished with a double bed or two single beds. The rooms have an ensuite bathroom with a shower. The family room consists of two rooms with a door connecting the two rooms.
