During the foundation of Santiago in 1641, the Spanish conquerors drew the limits of the city: north, with the Mapocho river as a natural division, was for La Chimba neighborhood, the area for parties, hustle, and bustle, away from the “official city”.

Start from your hotel in Santiago. Examine the culture of Santiago through the eyes of a growing group of contemporary Chilean artists. The number of art galleries in Santiago has grown significantly in the last 10 years and they offer their visitors the perfect way to explore the different neighborhoods, architecture, stories, images, and objects. We will visit the Salvador Allende Solidarity Museum, the Visual Arts Museum (MAVI), and the Patricia Ready Gallery. Later, and depending on the time available, we can visit small galleries in the Nueva Costanera and Alonso de Córdoba neighborhoods. The tour considers one hour for lunch (lunch not included) with different restaurant recommendations. Return to your hotel in Santiago.

Departure from your hotel towards Casablanca Valley, located just 80 km from Santiago and 41 km from Valparaiso and known mainly by the great production of white wine Sauvignon Blanc, among others. Located at the base of the Cordillera de la Costa and surrounded by 2,500 hectares of native forest, Viñamar Vineyard is highly influenced by the fresh breeze and morning mist from the Pacific Ocean. These conditions moderate the temperatures and establish the ideal conditions for growing white varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, as well as reds from the cool climate such as Pinot Noir, Merlot and Syrah. After the tour and tasting at Viñamar, we will continue to Valparaiso (one of the main ports of Chile), declared a Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO, due to its colorful constructions decorating the hillsides, providing the city a characteristic architecture and unique identity. Here we will visit the main highlights of the city. In the afternoon, return to your hotel in Santiago.
