In the footsteps of Martin Luther and the history of the Reformation
Leipzig, Weimar, Erfurt, Wittenberg - cities full of culture and history
Arrival at Berlin airport and transfer to the hotel
The day begins with a visit of Berlin's most Berlin's most famous historical sites, such as the Unter den Linden avenue, the State Opera House, and the Brandenburg Gate. During the tour you will you will also get to know the modern part of the area of Berlin, among others the German Parliament building Reichstag" and the famous Potsdam Square.

After breakfast departure to Wittenberg, named "City of Martin Luther". Here Luther gained notoriety by publishing his 95 theses and publishing them on the door of the Palace Church, which started the movement that was to become the Reformation.

On your way to Leipzig, you will stop at Torgau. You will visit the "Hartenfels" Palace, where Luther consecrated a reformed church for the first time, according to his own ideas. You will also visit the tomb of Katharina von Bora, Luther's wife, and stop at the building where at Luther's home was Melanchthon Jonas and Bugenhagen worked together on the main ideas of the Torga articles in 1530. Continuation to Leipzig and panoramic tour of the city, during which you will enter the St. Thomas' Church, where for 25 years the great composer J. S. Bach held the post as cantor and musical director.

After breakfast departure to Weimar, the home of literary figures like Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and Friedrich Schiller. Continue to Erfurt, known as the "Rome of Thuringia” for its architectural beauty. You will visit the Augustinian Monastery, where Luther lived as a monk, and the longest wooden bridge in Europe.

Departure to Eisleben. In 1996 UNESCO added the Luther memorials to its World Heritage List, now called "Martin Luther City". Here, in the region of the Counts of Mansfeld, Martin Luther was born in 1483 and died in 1546. You will visit the house of his birth and the Peter and Paul Church, where he was baptized. You will also visit St. Andrew's, the place of his last preaching, as well as the house of the Counts of Mansfeld, where he died.

Today a tour of the interior of Wartburg Castle awaits you. This castle is an important landmark for Lutherans all over the world. Martin Luther hid here for almost a year, protected by the Elector Prince Frederick the Wise, and it was here that he translated the New Testament into German. If there is time, you can visit the Bach Museum and the house of the Cotta family who provided the young Luther an education in Latin. The trip ends in Frankfurt.
