In the morning, city tour of Lima: Santo Domingo Convent and Casa De Aliaga. We will pick you up at your hotel to tour the main attractions of the city. We will start by visiting Colonial Lima and we will go to the Plaza de Armas. There, we will make a stop to admire it on foot and observe the Government Palace, the Municipality, the Cathedral of Lima, and the Santo Domingo Convent. The tour will continue to a place that concentrates history and art. There is no other house in the entire American continent where the same family continues to live since the official foundation of the city and in the case of the De Aliaga family, 16 generations have inhabited the same home for more than 480 years. Beyond the rich family history, Casa De Aliaga is a jewel of vice regal and republican architecture. Its environments show us the styles that were in fashion in the 17th to the 19th centuries in Lima. Time at leisure for lunch.
In the afternoon, visit the bohemian neighbourhood of Barranco, its art galleries and enjoy a chocolate and coffee tasting. In Lima, facing the Pacific Ocean, we find Barranco: a neighbourhood that, in the summers of the 19th century, housed the aristocracy of that time. Today, it is a place of dualities. Tranquillity coexists with movement and modernity emerges in the midst of history. It is the district where exhibitions and installations flourish, where arts and crafts are everywhere, and where folk and punk concerts coexist seamlessly. The walking tour of Barranco mixes history, contemporary art, and ancient architecture. During the walk we will find a series of galleries, shops, museums, and restaurants along streets such as Sáenz Peña, San Martín and the Malecón de los Ingleses. This afternoon we will immerse ourselves in a coffee and chocolate tasting experience to bring magic and colour to our senses. Meals: Breakfast. Overnight in Lima.
