One hour and 15 minutes drive from Santa Marta - The small beach town of Palomino has grown from an
off-the-beaten-track spot to a popular tourist destination. See beautiful birds and animals in the jungles surrounding Palomino - such as monkeys, toucans, parrots, and many more. Relax and recharge on the beautiful white sandy beach, lined with palm trees and endless azure blue sea. There are plenty of beach bars and small restaurants along the shoreline to enjoy when you get tired of swimming and sunbathing.
With its beachfront location, Palomino is a wonderful place to enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Where

Detailed Itinerary
Arrival at the airport in Santa Marta, Colombia. You will be met at the airport and transferred to your EcoHotel at the beautiful Palomino. The rest of the day is yours to relax! Soak up the sun and take a dip in the sea. Here, on the beach of Palomino, you can swim in the sea water or in the fresh water of the river that flows directly into the sea. Option to eat at the restaurant of the EcoHotel (not included) or we can recommend some nice places to eat in the evening. Accommodation: Eco Hotel Playa La Roca on the beach of Palomino - Guajira - Caribbean. Meals: Breakfast Included.

Breakfast at the EcoHotel on the beach of Palomino. The day is yours to enjoy the sun, beach and sea! Here on Palomino Beach, you can swim in the sea or in the freshwater from the river that flows directly into the sea. A fun option! Palomino - River tubing down the Rio Don Diego: 4-hour tour. A short walk along the Don Diego River to the starting point. Here you will jump into your rafts and float down the Rio Don Diego (on air tubes) until the river flows into the sea. It's great fun and a time to enjoy a beer with friends!
Option of lunch and dinner at the Eco Hotel a la carte restaurant (not included).

The Tayrona National Park is a magical piece of Colombia's Caribbean coast, with stunning stretches of golden sandy beach backed by coconut palms and thick rainforest. Behind it all, rise the steep hillsides of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the world's highest coastal mountain range. The park covers some 12,000 hectares of land and 3000 hectares of coral-rich sea. It also
features archaeological ruins of an ancient city that belonged to the Tayrona people.

Breakfast at the EcoHabs in the Tayrona National Park. Today is a day to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches of the National Park. If you don't want to sit in the sun all day, you can hike up the mountain to the indigenous settlement of Pueblito Tayrona-Chairama.
