Detailed Itinerary

Arrival in Vienna. The capital of Austria was the imperial residence of the House of Habsburg for centuries. During the city tour you will admire the Opera House and the Hofburg Palace, from where the Habsburg Empire was ruled. You will also visit the famous Schoenbrunn Palace with its extensive gardens, the former summer residence of the imperial family and one of the most important Baroque ensembles in Europe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Meal: No Meal

Continue the journey through the Wachau Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its natural beauty, well known for its lush vineyards, fortified churches and legendary castles. The most important attraction in the area is the monumental Melk Abbey, a Benedictine abbey founded in the 11th century, a world-famous baroque jewel! We arrive in Linz, a city full of architectural and natural highlights on the banks of the Danube that offers important architectural works of the Renaissance.

Departure to Salzburg. Stop in the beautiful Salzburg Lake District which, with its beauty and nature, accommodated Emperor Franz Joseph and his family during their summer vacations. We arrive at Lake Wolfgang- see, where Mozart's mother was born. Here we embark for a pleasant cruise on the lake to St. Wolfgang, where you will see the Gothic altar of Michael Pacher.

Salzburg's worldwide fame is due to the incomparable magic of the city's sky- line, the beauty of the surrounding land- scape and the good fortune that Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born here in 1756. The historic city centre is dominated by the towers of its churches, its medieval for- tresses and, above all, by the massive Hohensalzburg Fortress. During the visit we can admire the cathedral, the Mirabel gar- dens, the Getreidegasse and the famous Mozart House. In the afternoon we continue our journey to the city of Innsbruck.

The city of Innsbruck, located in the Inn River Valley and in the middle of the Alps, is the heart of Tyrol. Admire mod- ern architecture and historic buildings, which invite you to embark on a fascinating journey into the past of the Habsburg family. City tour with the most important monuments such as the Golden Roof, the Hofkirche or the Imperial Palace. In the afternoon we ascend with the Nordkettenbahn cable car from the city centre to the Hafelekar, the summit of Innsbruck at an altitude of 2,344 m, in just a few minutes. The breathtaking 360° view with the capital of the Alps on one side and the Karwendel Nature Park on the other leaves lasting impressions.

Departure to the highest and most famous alpine road in the country, which runs through the beautiful landscapes of the Austrian Alps. After several bends the declared destination of all visitors is the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe. From here the spectacular view opens to Austria's highest mountain, the Grossglockner. Continue to Klagenfurt, situated at the shores of lake Wörthersee, one of the warmest al- pine lakes in Europe. It has a beautiful old town, in whose main square you will find the dragon pond "Lindwurm", a characteristic stone symbol of the city, which will remind you of the legend about the origin of Klagenfurt.

Departure to Graz, the capital of the Styria region, whose origins date back to Roman times. Among the many tourist attractions of Graz, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the popular panoramic hill in the middle of the city, the Schlossberg, a former castle. In the shadow of the proud clock tower, the gaze wanders over a mixture of historical monuments and modern architecture. In the afternoon continue to Vienna.

Depending on your flight schedule you can continue your visit of the Austrian capital, you might want to visit the Sisi Museum in the Hofburg Palace.
