Sunday Departure.
Detailed Itinerary
Reception by our representative. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Jerusalem.
To the old town through the Jaffa Gate. Tour through the restored Jewish quarter with a visit to the Wailing Wall, the “Temple Square” and the Via Dolorosa. Visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Garden of Gethsemane. Trip to Bethlehem with a visit to the Church of the Nativity. Return trip to Jerusalem with dinner and overnight stay. * Visit to the mosques is not included in the price.
Drive to Mount Scobus with a view of Jerusalem. Then we go to Mount Zion and to David's Tomb. Visit the Shrine of the Book in the Israel Museum and the model of Jerusalem at the time of the Second Temple. Walk along the forecourt of the Knesset, the Hebrew University and visit the Yad Vashem memorial. Dinner and overnight stay in Jerusalem.
Drive through the Judean Desert and the Jordan Valley to Tiberias, the old centre of Jewish scribes. Along the shore of the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum to visit the synagogue and the residence of Saint Peter. Dinner and overnight stay in a kibbutz guesthouse.
Visit Druze villages and former Syrian fortifications. Via Banias, the Jordan springs, Kiriat Shmoneh and the Hula Valley to Safed, the city of Kabbalah. Visit the old synagogues and the artists' quarter. Continue to Nazareth to visit the Christian holy sites. Dinner and overnight stay in Galilee.
Tour to Akko to the old Crusader fortress. Followed by a city tour to Haifa. Visit to the Baha'i Shrine with its Persian gardens and Mount Carmel with a view over the city. Continue to Caesarea to the Roman theatre and the Crusader fortress. Via Netanya to Tel Aviv for a tour of Jaffa. Dinner and overnight stay in Tel Aviv.
Trip to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. Take the cable car up to the ruins of the fortress of Masada, the last stronghold of the Jewish rebellion in the fight against Rome. Visit the excavations. Panoramic view of the Roman camps and the Dead Sea. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to swim in the Dead Sea. Continue to Tel Aviv, where you will have dinner and stay overnight.
After breakfast, transfer to Ben Gurion Airport and return flight to Germany.
