At 9:00 am, meet your guide for a tour of Reykjavík’s highlights. Then head to the Reykjanes Peninsula, where you’ll explore its hot springs, bird cliffs, and fishing villages. Today, we travel along Iceland’s stunning South Coast toward the region of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano. Our first stop is Seljalandsfoss waterfall, a 65-meter-high cascade with a unique path behind it, offering incredible views from within the mist.

Next, we visit the Skógar Folk Museum, home to a fascinating collection of historic Icelandic artifacts and traditional turf houses. Just nearby, we’ll stop at the majestic Skógafoss waterfall, another 62-meter-high beauty known for its roaring falls and frequent rainbows.

For those who pre-booked the optional glacier hike, the bus will drop you at the Sólheimajökull glacier base for a 3-hour adventure on the ice. Remember to bring warm clothes, rain gear, and hiking boots. In the morning, we explore the history and unique qualities of the Icelandic horse, known for its strength and special gait. We then visit a geothermal greenhouse, where you’ll see how Iceland uses natural geothermal energy to grow fresh produce in a challenging climate.

Next, we continue along the famous Golden Circle route, starting at the Geysir geothermal fields, where steam rises from bubbling hot springs and active geysers. From there, we move on to Gullfoss, a stunning double waterfall that plunges into a deep canyon, providing spectacular views.

Our day finishes at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you’ll learn about the tectonic rift between the North American and Eurasian plates, and visit the historic site of Iceland’s ancient Viking Parliament, one of the most important places in the country’s history.

We’ll also stop by the spectacular Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre, an architectural marvel on the waterfront.
