Detailed Itinerary

A warm welcome awaits you at the arrival lounge of the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake. Your personal driver will give you a brief introduction, you will be transferred to your hotel. Check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at The Walawwa (Walawwa bed Room)

After breakfast, proceed to Sigiriya.

Arrive, check in, and relax.

In the afternoon, set on an exclusive jeep safari at the Minneriya National Park to witness the unique phenomenon of elephant gathering. During the dry season, from June to September, hundreds of elephants gather around the Minneriya Tank for water. Such a large number of elephants could not be sighted in one place, anywhere else in the world! *Depending on the elephant migration patterns, the safari will be done in Minneriy or Kaudualla or Eco Park.

Return to the hotel.

After early climb the Rock Fortress Sigiriya.

Sigiriya Rock Fortress a UNESCO Heritage site is a gigantic rock rising 200m (660ft) from the forested plains below. Also known as “Lions Rock, It is particularly notable for its colorful frescoes that adorn the walls and the two.

Return to the hotel.

In the afternoon, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Medieval Capital City of Polonnaruwa. This was declared as a UNESCO heritage site in 1982. After the demise of Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa became the middle historic capital of Sri Lanka (1017–1235 AD).

Return to hotel.

After breakfast leave for Kandy, enroute visit to Dambulla Cave Dambulla Rock Cave Temple. Also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla, it was declared an UNESCO heritage site in 1991. Dating back to the 1st Century BC, this is the most impressive cave complex in Sri Lanka, five cave- complex covering close to 2100m2 area with extraordinary paintings and 157 statues, is indeed an inspirational masterpiece. From there on, leave for Kandy, enroute visit the Spice Garden in Matale. The Hill Capital (1514 – 1815 AD). Kandy was declared as an UNESCO heritage site in 1988. The style and character of the Sri Lankan civilization at the time is well articulated in the heart of the city itself, with its lake, the temples including the Temple of the Tooth Relic and the well preserved ruins of the royal palaces. Late afternoon saunter around the Kandy Lake, the atmosphere alone will intrigue you to spend a few moments here and TUK TUK at Kandy. Check-in to the hotel.

Evening visit the Temple of Tooth, with its guardian elephants is a deeply significant Buddhist site that contains a tooth of Buddha collected from his funeral pyre and this draws thousands of pilgrims from across the world. Hereafter you will have the opportunity to witness a typical Kandyan cultural performance. Overnight stay at Kandy House (Deluxe Room) Tempe.

In the morning, leave for Nuwaraeliya. You could either travel this distance by vehicle or train. A train journey is truly a rare experience and an adventure in itself! Apart from the breathtaking scenery of the tea country and picturesque waterfalls, it is a chance for you to mingle with the local people. (Train tickets are issued by the railway on a manual basis exactly 01 month before arrival therefore train journey is strictly on Availability).

Upon arrival, visit a tea plantation and a factory. Here you will enjoy the absolute tea experience, taking you from the moment the young tea leaves are plucked from the plantation to being processed in the factory to make a steamy cup of tea. If you are interested, the tea factory is the best place to purchase good quality tea. Arrive at the hotel, check-in & relax.

Evening at leisure to explore the surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay at Tea Trails Bungalow (Luxury room).

After breakfast proceed to Yala. En route witness a Ravana water Fall.

Afternoon game drive at Yala national park, which is the home for wild elephants, wild boars, wild buffaloes, leopards, bears, deer and crocodiles. Large flocks of migratory and indigenous birds are also found here.

Return to hotel and relax.

After Breakfast proceed to Galle.

Enoute visit Galle Fort and Dutch Town. Galle Fort was first built by the Portuguese in the 16th century and then modified by the Dutch during the 17th century. During this time the fort became Sri Lanka’s main port and centre of trade and commerce among the Persians, Arabians, Greeks, Romans, Malays and Indians. The Galle Fort is one of the best preserved examples of 17th century colonial fortifications in the world and is on the UNESCO list of world monuments.

Check in to the hotel and relax at the beach.

Afternoon, set on a guided Colombo city tour. Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, has a long history as a port on ancient east-west trade routes, ruled successively by the Portuguese, Dutch and British. That heritage is reflected in its its architecture, mixing colonial buildings with high rises and shopping malls. Thereafter, proceed to The Ministry of Crab for dinner (Direct payment).

After dinner proceed to the airport to connect with departure flight.

** It's advisable to be at the airport 03 hrs prior your flight time. Your transfer to the airport will be arranged as per your departure flight information.
