In the morning travel to Limburg to visit the cathedral and old city centre. Then continue to the “Deutsches Eck” (German Corner), where the Moselle River meets the Rhine, near Koblenz. Cross the river in a panoramic cable car for a spectacular view and to visit Fort Ehrenbreitstein, the second largest fort in Europe.
The great metropolis on the Rhine River, Cologne is the fourth city in Germany in terms of population and has a great tradition of art and history. The spires of the Gothic cathedral (a UNESCO World Heritage site) dominate the skyline of this old German city filled with numerous art treasures, lovely museums and a rich cultural agenda.

Visit the museum of the Zollverein coal mine in Essen (a UNESCO World Heritage site). Back in its heyday this coal mine was the largest and most modern coal mine in the world. Continue to Münster. This city with its precious old city centre exudes a delightful charm.

In the morning we travel to Hamelin, where you can relive the folktale about the famous flute player as you travel along Germany’s Grand Fairy-tale Circle Tour. Another fascinating destination is the old city centre of Goslar (UNESCO), packed with churches and chapels that define the image of this incredible town. Optional excursion to visit the Rammelsberg mines (UNESCO).

After a short drive, you board a train that will take you to the top of Brocken Mountain (1125 m) in the Harz region. Then continue to Dessau with its famous Bauhaus (UNESCO). Here we find another UNESCO site, the Garden Kingdom: over 140 km² of beautifully landscaped gardens and lovely castles nestled along the shores of the Elbe and Mulde Rivers.

Travel to Wittenberg to visit the largest Reformation museum in the world. We will also visit the Schlosskirche church which houses the tomb of Martin Luther.

The Spree River forms a labyrinth with more than 300 creeks, perfect for an unforgettable canoe ride through this lovely nature reserve with small villages and farms. Afterwards we visit Potsdam to admire the beautiful park and palace of Sanssouci (UNESCO). In the afternoon we arrive in Berlin.
