Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, you can relax or explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu. In the evening, we will conduct a detailed trek briefing, introduce your guide, and check your equipment to ensure everything is ready for the adventure ahead.
Meal Plan: No Meal
Early in the morning, you will take a scenic 30-minute flight to Lukla, one of the most thrilling airstrips in the world. Upon arrival, you will meet the rest of the trekking crew and begin your trek. The trail descends gradually through beautiful villages and lush forests alongside the Dudh Koshi River, leading to Phakding, where you will spend the night.
Today’s trek follows the river through pine forests and crosses several suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Bridge. After entering Sagarmatha National Park, the trail climbs steeply to Namche Bazaar, the bustling Sherpa capital. If the weather is clear, you may catch your first glimpse of Mount Everest along the way.
Meal Plan: Breakfast lunch and Dinner
To adjust to the altitude, you will spend an extra day in Namche. A short hike to the Everest View Hotel offers stunning panoramic views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and surrounding peaks. You can also explore local markets, cafes, and the Sherpa Culture Museum. Proper acclimatisation here significantly increases your success rate.
Meal Plan: Breakfast lunch and Dinner
Leaving Namche, the trail offers breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. After descending to the Dudh Koshi River, you will climb through rhododendron forests to reach Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, the largest monastery in the Khumbu region.
Meal Plan: Breakfast lunch and Dinner
The trail descends through forests before crossing the Imja River and ascending into a more open alpine landscape. As trees become scarce, the scenery becomes more dramatic. You will pass traditional villages and arrive in Dingboche, a beautiful settlement surrounded by stone walls and towering peaks.
Meal Plan: Breakfast lunch and Dinner
Another acclimatisation day is essential at this altitude. You can take a short hike to Nagarjun Hill or nearby ridges for incredible mountain views. This day helps your body adjust before heading to higher elevations.
Meal Plan: Breakfast lunch and Dinner
Today’s trek is shorter but more physically demanding due to the altitude. The trail gradually climbs past Dughla and continues to the Thukla Pass, where memorials honour climbers who lost their lives on Everest. From here, the path leads to Lobuche with stunning views of the surrounding peaks.
Meal Plan: Breakfast lunch and Dinner
This is the most anticipated day of the trek. You will hike to Gorakshep, leave your belongings, and continue towards Everest Base Camp. Walking along the Khumbu Glacier, you will finally reach the base camp, where climbers prepare for their summit attempts. After celebrating this incredible achievement, you will return to Gorakshep for the night.
Meal Plan: Breakfast lunch and Dinner
Early in the morning, you will hike to Kala Patthar, the best viewpoint of Mount Everest. The sunrise over Everest is truly unforgettable. After descending to Gorakshep for breakfast, you will continue trekking down to Pheriche.
Meal Plan: Breakfast lunch and Dinner
Today you will retrace your steps, descending through Pangboche and Tengboche. The lower altitude makes breathing easier, and the return journey offers a different perspective of the landscape.
Meal Plan: Breakfast lunch and Dinner
On your final trekking day, you will descend back to Lukla, passing through familiar villages and crossing suspension bridges. In the evening, you can celebrate the successful completion of your trek with your team.
