Patagonia is spread across two countries, Argentina and Chile, hence its weather is varied but on the whole the climate is dry and cool. The east coast is much warmer than the west in the summer. Located in the northern part of Patagonia, Peninsula Valdes has unique wildlife thriving in the town. Different species of seals can be seen as also the southern right whales. It is a UNESCO protected area due to its unique marine life. You can also see penguins and guanacos in this region.
It is a strait in Tierra del Fuego Archipelago on the southernmost tip of South America, between Chile and Argentina. This is the departure point for Antarctica. It is a great place to relish whale watching and also to take hiking trails along the region’s mountains, glaciers and subantarctic forests.
It is a village within Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina, also called the trekking capital of Argentina. It is a passage way for treks to Cerro Torre and Mount Fitz Roy. This vibrant village overlooks the spectacular northern part of Nacional Los Glaciares and has many trails for both hikers and non hikers.
