Visit the National Center of Traditional Arts via Hsueshan Tunnel, the world's tenth longest highway tunnel (12.9 km). Then, onward to Hualien with the fantastic scenery alongside, to explore God’s masterpiece, Taroko Gorge, the world’s only marble gorge with us. Visit Taroko Gorge and stop at the featured sites alongside, such as Eternal Spring Shrine, Swallow Grotto, Bulowan Bridge and Lyushuei Trail. Itinerary
Pick-up from hotel. Proceed for Yilan, via the world’s fifth longest highway tunnel (12.9km). Visit National Center of Traditional Arts. Proceed to Hualien via the breathtaking east coast cliff highway, photo-stop at Chinshui Cliff. Check-in hotel and the rest of the day at leisure.
Day Highlight: Visit the National Center of Traditional Arts via Hsueshan Tunnel, the world's tenth longest highway tunnel (12.9 km). Drive to Hualien with the local beautiful scenery alongside. Stop at the site of the Qingshui Cliff(passing thru), which was designated as one of the Taiwan's "Eight Wonders."
Meal Plan: No Meal
After breakfast, proceed to Taroko National Park to enjoy the gorgeous marble gorge and proceed to: Taroko Gorge Gateway, Eternal Spring Shrine(closed), Swallow Grotto(closed); if time permits, soft trekking at Lyushuei(closed). Bulowan Bridge(closed) - Drive back up east coast. Return to Taipei (hotel in Taipei excluded)
Current visit in Taroko will be Taroko Archway, Visitor Center, Tianxiang Recreation Area, soft trekking to Xiangde Temple.
Day Highlight: Walk through the Buluowan Suspension Bridge(closed), the longest and highest bridge in Taroko National Park.
