Seychelles has a tropical climate with temperatures ranging between 24°C and 32°C throughout the year. Usually, December to April is the hottest period with a lot of humidity while December to February sees a huge amount of rainfall.
One of the most beautiful beaches in the country, this sandy beach with azure blue waters is a favorite surfing hub due to its huge swells and wild waves. This palm-framed beach is a photographer’s delight too with many stunning landscape to capture the hues of blue, green and white.
It is the largest island in the archipelago and also a favorite amongst tourists. It boasts of not only the sun, the sand and the beach but also verdant forests, a sprawling mountain range and a huge variety of flora and fauna.
One of the most picturesque beaches, the Praslin Island is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You need to hike over the hill to reach the beach but it is worth the effort. It is flanked by rounded granite boulder, Takamaka trees and coconut palms with the pristine waters of the sea and the sandy beach in the center; making for a great place to just relax and unwind.
Baie Lazare is a village on Mahe and was named after a French explorer Lazare Picault who came to explore the islands in the 18th century. The main tourist attraction here is the Baie Lazare Church dedicated to St. Francis of Assisi. It offers a panoramic view of the region. Two of the popular beaches near the village are Anse Soleil and Petite Anse; popular for their stunning azure water and white sand.
La Digue is the fourth largest island in the archipelago and a must-visit for nature enthusiasts. It offers a peak into the traditional lifestyle of the island. The best way to explore the island is on bikes and oxcarts, soaking in the natural beauty. Anse Source D'Argent, is one of the most picturesque stretches of the beach with granite rock outcrops lining the coast and crystal clear waters and white sand- completing the picture perfect postcard.
