Itinerary
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure, relaxing at the hotel or exploring optional excursions (listed below).

After breakfast, depart Nairobi and journey through Kenya’s scenic highlands, descending into the Great Rift Valley. Enroute, drive past the historical chapel built by Italian POWs and the Longonot Earth Satellite Station. Continue via Narok and across golden wheat and barley fields to the world-renowned Masai Mara. Enjoy lunch at your lodge, followed by your first exciting afternoon game drive, returning to the lodge as the sun sets.

Muthu Keekorok Lodge:
Established in 1965 as the first lodge in the Masai Mara, Keekorok Lodge is steeped in history and surrounded by nature at its wildest. Located at the southern end of the Masai Mara National Reserve, approximately 280 kilometres from Nairobi, the lodge sits directly along the path of the Great Migration. During peak season, guests are immersed in the sights and sounds of countless wildebeest and other wildlife — often without needing to leave the lodge.
Constructed using locally sourced materials such as sandstone and cedar wood, Keekorok blends seamlessly into its natural surroundings. A 300-meter elevated walkway winds through a riverine forest to a serene bar overlooking a hippo-filled dam — a perfect spot to relax and observe wildlife.
With no fences around the lodge, encounters with elephants, buffalo, and other game are part of the experience, all under the watchful eye of trained staff ensuring guest safety. Keekorok Lodge offers a truly authentic and unforgettable safari experience.

Start the day with breakfast followed by a morning game drive, returning mid-morning to relax before lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy another game drive returning to the lodge at sunset. Optional: Pre-book a Balloon Safari for a magical aerial experience (additional cost applies).

After breakfast, begin your journey north across the fertile highlands—Kenya’s agricultural heart, where golden fields of wheat and barley stretch to the horizon. Pass through the bustling town of Narok, the regional hub of Maasai land, then descend onto the expansive plains of the Great Rift Valley, travelling through Mai Mahiu en route to your next destination.
Around midday, arrive at the serene shores of Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake fringed with acacia trees and home to abundant birdlife and hippos. After a relaxing lunch and siesta, set out for a peaceful afternoon boat ride across the lake —an opportunity to spot wildlife and take in the stunning natural scenery. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure.

Nestled on 55 acres of tranquil gardens along the lake’s edge, Lake Naivasha Country Club blends colonial charm with contemporary comfort. Originally a 1930s staging post for the Imperial Airways flying boat route from Durban to Dublin, the resort has evolved into a beloved escape for nature lovers and travellers alike.
The club offers several dining options to suit every palate:

After breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha and travel to Nairobi, where you will meet fellow travellers joining the safari. Continue southeast through open countryside, arriving in Amboseli National Park in time for a late lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive, returning to the lodge as the sun sets behind Mount Kilimanjaro.

Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge
Set against the iconic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge enjoys a prime location in the heart of Amboseli National Park. Nestled within a grove of acacia trees and overlooking the savannah, the lodge offers uninterrupted views of the mountain and nearby swamps—home to large herds of elephants, hippos, and buffalo.
Designed in the vibrant style of Maasai culture, the lodge features hand-painted wall frescos, a freeform swimming pool, and luxury en-suite rooms with private verandas. Dining is an experience in itself, with meals served in a central area reached via a bridge over a meltwater stream.

After an early breakfast, journey southeast to Tsavo West National Park, arriving at your lodge for lunch. En route, traverse the dramatic Shetani Lava Flow, a striking reminder of volcanic activity from the nearby Chyulu Hills. A winding road through thorn scrub and acacia ushers you into Kenya’s largest national park.
In the afternoon, set out on a game drive including a visit to the famous Mzima Springs, where underwater viewing chambers offer fascinating glimpses of hippos and fish. Return to your lodge as the sun sets over the wilderness.

Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge
Nestled in the shelter of Mount Kilimanjaro and the volcanic Chyulu Hills, Kilaguni Serena is one of Kenya’s original national park lodges. Built from volcanic stone and naturally blending into the valley known as “the place of the young rhino,” it offers a peaceful setting perfect for game viewing.
The lodge overlooks its own waterhole, frequented daily by elephants, buffalo, and plains game. Guests enjoy spacious, en-suite rooms with private verandas offering views of either the waterhole or the stunning Chyulu Hills. Facilities include a thatched dining area, a rock-built bar, and a viewing terrace.

After an early breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive en route to the park gate, then travel south to the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, arriving at Taita Hills Safari Resort in time for lunch.
Afterwards, transfer to the iconic Salt Lick Safari Lodge, where stilted rooms overlook a busy waterhole. Following a short siesta, head out on an afternoon game drive, returning in time to relax for the evening.
Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure—watch wildlife from the underground hide or the lodge’s panoramic viewing decks, offering unforgettable sightings steps away.

Salt Lick Safari Lodge
Located in the heart of the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, adjacent to Tsavo National Park, Salt Lick Safari Lodge offers a truly immersive safari experience with a strong focus on wildlife conservation.
This iconic lodge is entirely raised on stilts, allowing for spectacular 24-hour game viewing from virtually every corner. Rooms are arranged in two-story towers linked by elevated walkways, offering panoramic views of the surrounding plains, waterhole and salt lick—a constant draw for elephants, buffalo, and other wildlife.
Each room is spacious and tastefully decorated in a style that echoes the spirit of Tsavo, complete with modern amenities. The restaurant, bar, and viewing decks all overlook the active waterhole, while an underground hide provides thrilling close-up encounters with wildlife.

After an early breakfast, depart Taita Hills and journey southeast toward the Indian Ocean. Arrive at your North or South Coast beach hotel in time for a late lunch (on your own arrangements). End of Services.
Beach Holiday arrangements begin. For clients requiring a drop off at Watamu hotels, a supplementary transfer cost applies. Drop off at Mombasa Airport directly on return from safari, no additional charge, but flights must be booked after 1830hrs.

*Park and Reserve fees used in these rates are based on current information. Should there be increases in park and/or Reserve fees, these will be passed along for all existing and future bookings.
The Masai Mara Reserve has implemented a per-day Community and Bed Levy Fee for all visitors. Accommodation suppliers are in the process of implementing these. At present, Muthu Keekorok Lodge has advised that they will not apply the Mara Bed Levy in 2026. We will keep you informed should this change at any time.

Early Morning Arrivals: Travellers arriving early are advised to book a pre-night stay at the arrival hotel (additional cost) to ensure immediate room access.

This safari arrives in Mombasa between 1330 and 1430 hrs.
IMPORTANT Luggage Information
Bag Type: Only soft-sided bags permitted. Soft-sided bags with wheels are allowed.
Size Limit: 66 cm x 42 cm x: 28 cm.
Strictly enforced due to limited luggage space in the vehicle.
For guests ending their safari in Mombasa, please note that it is not possible to leave luggage behind in Nairobi.
If you are travelling with excess luggage, we can assist with arranging a courier service to transport your items to Mombasa at an additional cost, payable directly to the courier provider on the ground.
If travelling on internal flights during your safari, luggage allowances are strictly enforced to 15 kilograms per person, including carry-on bags.
If arriving and departing from the same city, bags can be stored in our offices for a one-time fee of AUD 77.00 (per booking, not per bag or per person) to transfer and store the bags and reconnect them with the travellers for departure.
We may have to re-route the itinerary or accommodate in similar lodges in case of non-availability.
Prices for domestic flights, airport taxes or park fees may be changed without prior notice. This is beyond our control, and any increase levied will be passed to you for existing and new bookings.
Flight times mentioned for internal flights are based on published schedules but are subject to change depending on the airline’s load factors and airstrips visited.
