Itinerary
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure, relaxing at the hotel or exploring optional excursions (listed below).

Nairobi Serena Hotel:

After breakfast, depart Nairobi and journey through Kenya’s scenic highlands, descending into the Great Rift Valley. En route, drive past the historical chapel built by Italian POWs and the Longonot Earth Satellite Station. Continue via Narok and across golden wheat and barley fields to the world-renowned Masai Mara. Enjoy lunch at your lodge, followed by your first exciting afternoon game drive, returning to the lodge as the sun sets.

Designed as a modern take on a traditional Maasai village, Mara Serena Safari Lodge offers stunning views over the vast Mara plains. Comfortable, Masai-inspired rooms, a beautiful pool, and a unique domed dining room create a memorable stay. Enjoy delicious meals, al fresco barbecues by the pool, and drinks at the lively bar.

Start the day with breakfast, followed by a morning game drive, returning mid-morning to relax before lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy another game drive with a visit to a local Masai Village, returning to the lodge at sunset.

Crown your game viewing experience in the Mara with a “Bush Breakfast” by the Mara River Hippo Pools! One cannot resist the charming “Jambo” from the chefs and Masai warriors as they welcome you to our wonderfully set breakfast buffet of cold cuts, fruits, cereals and hot dishes with eggs made to your specifications as you wait. The hippos keep you company and only say “Kwaheri” (goodbye) after you have had enough.

Depart the Mara after breakfast, travelling across Kenya’s agricultural heartland through Narok to the Rift Valley floor and on to Lake Nakuru. A picnic lunch is provided. Enjoy a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its birdlife and endangered species, including flamingoes, black and white rhinos, and Rothschild giraffes. Continue to your camp located in Elmenteita, arriving at sunset.
Overnight: Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp (Deluxe Tent, Full board with selection of in-house drinks).
Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp:
Nestled on the shores of Lake Elmenteita in Soysambu Conservancy, this luxury camp offers exclusivity and adventure. With 25 luxury tents, a dining and lounge area, spa, and swimming pool, it boasts stunning views of the lake. The conservancy is home to diverse wildlife, including the Rothschild giraffe and the Great White Pelican’s only breeding ground in East Africa.

After an early breakfast, head south via Nairobi, where you'll stop for a hot lunch or picnic lunch (depending on travel conditions), then journey through the Athi Plains to reach Amboseli National Park by late afternoon.

With over 450 bird species on the Soysambu conservancy, enjoy a bird walk led by an experienced resident naturalist.
Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge:
Lying in the shadow of Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli Serena is surrounded by a thick forest of acacia trees and exquisite gardens. Brightly decorated in an African motif, the lodge's 96 comfortable rooms emulate the architecture of a Maasai village with its manyattas or homes. In the late afternoons and evenings, relax on the beautiful lounge terrace adorned by gardens, pool and paths. From here, watch the nightly ritual of wildebeest, antelope, elephant and other animals coming into the grass.

Enjoy morning and afternoon wildlife viewing in Amboseli, famous for its elephant herds and stunning views of Kilimanjaro.

Following an early breakfast, take in your final glimpses of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather conditions permitting) before departing for Nairobi. Arrive early afternoon. *Park and Reserve fees used in these rates are based on current information. Should there be increases in park and/or Reserve fees, these will be passed along for all existing and future bookings.
Extra transfer requests applicable as per below:
Clients booking a pre-night in Nairobi at the same base hotel, NO additional arrival transfer will be charged.
On return from safari, drop off at the Airport or a city centre hotel is included.
Clients requiring a SEPARATE evening or later departure transfer once the safari returns will be charged the transfer cost as per the transfer document.
Child and Triple Sharing rate available on request.

Arrival Details:
Earliest Hotel Check-In: 14:00
Early Morning Arrivals: Travellers arriving early are advised to book a pre-night stay at the arrival hotel (additional cost) to ensure immediate room access.
Departure Details
Return to Nairobi: Approximately 13:30 hrs.
Flight Booking Advice: Please schedule any domestic or international flights to depart after 16:30 hrs.
Long Layovers: For extended wait times before flights, consider booking a day room (additional cost, pricing options available on request) to freshen up and repack.
IMPORTANT Luggage Information
Travellers should only bring soft-sided bags on safari. Luggage space in safari vehicles is limited. These bags should measure no more than the following: Height 66 centimetres, Length 42 centimetres, Width 28 centimetres. Soft-sided bags with wheels are permitted.
If travelling on internal flights during your safari, luggage allowances are strictly enforced to 15 kilograms per person, including carry-on bags.
If arriving and departing from the same city, bags can be stored for a one-time fee of AUD 77 per booking, covering both storage and transfer back to you before departure.

Prices for domestic flights, airport taxes or park fees may be changed without prior notice. This is beyond our control, and any increase levied will be passed to you for existing and new bookings.
The Masai Mara Reserve is considering implementing a per-day Community and Bed Levy Fee for all visitors. These fees have not been finalised, but are in the process of being implemented. The potential fees have been added to the per-person cost.
