Itinerary
Morning arrival in Bangkok, you will be met and picked up to transfer to your hotel in Bangkok. In the afternoon, we take a long-tail boat for an excursion along the Chao Phraya River and many bustling interior canals that offer fantastic views of local life close by. Along the way, we stop at Wat Arun, the temple of the Aube.
The rest of the day would be at your own pleasure and overnight in Bangkok.
Meal Plan: No Meal
After breakfast, we visit the Grand Royal Palace, dedicated to the ceremony of the royal family of Thailand. In the same compound is the magnificent Wat Phra Kaew, which is known for the Statue of the Emerald Buddha. After visiting this complex, we continue to visit Wat Pho, a giant house of the lying Buddha.
Afternoon transfer to the Jim Thompson house, in the heart of Bangkok’s city centre: start by learning the story of the American businessman and traveller, who made it his life’s work to bring Thai silks to the world’s fashion houses, and then explore his remarkable home. This is one of the best places in Bangkok to see traditional Thai teak homes, as Thompson assembled his using historic houses shipped to Bangkok from around the country. Find out what is known — and what remains a mystery — about Thompson’s 1967 disappearance in the Malaysian jungle, then explore the collection of art that he assembled during 25 years in Thailand.

Meal Plan: Breakfast
Early in the morning, we drive to the southwest of Bangkok, visiting the Maeklong railway market, taking photos, and enjoying the local snacks in the market before driving to Damnoen Saduak - a rural floating market. Stop for a motor boat trip along the waterway to the picturesque floating market of Damnoen Saduak.
Afterwards, we continue the road to the city of Kanchanaburi.
Upon arrival, visit the World War II memorial, including the Jeath War Museum, Cemetery. We will take 30 minutes train to experience and enjoy the beautiful view from the train along the river. This is one of Southeast Asia's historic railways, the remaining part of the "Death Railway". and transfer then city to visit the Kowai Bridge.
Overnight in Kanchanaburi.
Meal Plan: Breakfast
In the morning, we will depart for Ayutthaya, which takes more than an hour to reach the former Thai capital. Witness the glory of the ancient capital through its temple and palace ruins. First, you will visit Wat Phu Khao Thong, or the “Monastery of the Golden Mount”, which is located just outside Ayutthaya. Then you will proceed to the ancient palace and Wat Phra Si Sanphet. You will also visit Viharn Phra Mongkol Bopit, one of the largest bronze Buddhas in Thailand.
You have lunch on your own.
To round off the day, you will have a chance to visit Wat Lokaya Sutha, which enshrines a large reclining Buddha image. Overnight in Ayutthaya.

In the morning, we will visit the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, built during the Ayutthaya era. The palace showcases an eclectic collection of buildings that blend European, Khmer, Thai and Chinese architectural styles. It’s the favourite summer palace of the King and transfer back to Bangkok around noon. The remaining day would be spent in your free time until we transfer you to the Bangkok airport for your international flight.
