Malacca was conferred the status of a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 7th July 2008. A full-day tour of Malacca is an adventure through more than 600 years of history. The city was formerly ruled by the Portuguese, the Dutch, and lastly the British.
0900hrs, visit St. Peter’s Church (built in 1710) – the oldest Christian church still in use in Malaysia today. Drive past the largest 17th-century Chinese cemetery outside of China, located at Bukit China.
Proceed to view the famous gateway “Porta de Santiago”, also known as “A-Famosa”. Once a fortress, it was built by the Portuguese in 1511. Visit the ruins of St. Paul’s Church, where St. Francis Xavier was once buried and much more. Photostop at the Stadhuys – 1641 to 1660 – also known as the “Red Square” due to the salmon pink colour of the building. It was once a Dutch Administration centre, which today houses the Malacca Museum and some government offices.
A Baba & Nyonya lunch is served at a local restaurant.
Later, your local guide will take you to enter the Baba & Nyonya Museum before we continue the walking trip to the famous Jonker Walk. Located along Jalan Hang Jebat, this street is also known as Jonker Street. During the evenings from 1800hrs onwards, this street is transformed into a long pedestrian mall known as Jonker Walk. You will also find shops selling antiques, wood carvings, household products, trendy clothes and plenty more. Upon completion of the tours, we will transfer and drop you off at your hotel.

The smell of burning jasmine, incessant chanting of the Hindu priest, intricately carved deities and the mystical aura combine to give you a lasting impression of this religion. This is followed by a local seafood dinner at a local restaurant with a great sunset view (order from the menu), after which we treat you to the highlight of the evening: firefly watching. You will be rowed upstream, where you can see thousands of fireflies flickering like Christmas lights in mangrove trees lining the banks of the river.
