Arrival at La Paz International Airport in the afternoon or evening. You will be met by our staff and privately transferred to your hotel with a Spanish-speaking driver. Check in and overnight.
Meal Plan: No Meal
Breakfast at the hotel.
At 9:00 a.m., we begin with a visit to the Purple cable car station, where we board the line and then connect to the Silver line for an 8-minute ride running parallel between the cities. After another transfer, we continue on the Yellow line, stopping first at a scenic viewpoint for photographs before descending once again above the city of La Paz to the lowest area of this Andean metropolis. We then switch to the Green line for more impressive views of the city.
Next, we visit the Valley of the Moon (Valle de la Luna), a remarkable landscape shaped by wind erosion over time. The tour continues through the residential neighbourhoods in the southern district, followed by a stop at the Killi Killi panoramic viewpoint, offering sweeping views of much of La Paz.
We then head to the historic Jaén Street and Plaza Murillo, where key landmarks such as the Government Palace, the Senate, and the Metropolitan Cathedral are located. The tour concludes with a visit to the Indian Market and the Witches Market, where you may shop for souvenirs or traditional good-luck charms.
Private transfer back to the hotel with an English-speaking guide. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight.
Optional: In the afternoon, a 6-hour tour to Tiahuanaco ruins (private service, English-speaking guide).
Meal Plan: Breakfast
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Uyuni (private service with a Spanish-speaking driver).
Upon arrival, transfer to the town to begin your exploration of the Salar de Uyuni (private 4x4 service with an English-speaking guide). The excursion starts with a visit to the Train Cemetery, located just five minutes from Uyuni. This site features remnants of Bolivia’s late 19th-century railway, originally built to connect Uyuni with Antofagasta, now Chilean territory, and used to transport minerals such as tin, silver, and gold.
Continue to the village of Colchani to see the salt-processing facilities and browse the local handicraft market. Then head out onto the vast Uyuni Salt Flats and visit Incahuasi Island, one of the area’s main highlights. Follow a short trail to the summit of the island for spectacular 360-degree views across the endless white expanse. Enjoy an outdoor lunch and free time to take in the scenery. You will also observe the bubbling saltwater springs known as the “Ojos del Salar, ” fed by underground currents from the Tunupa Volcano. Later, experience a breathtaking sunset over the salt flats, watching the changing colours reflect across the horizon while enjoying snacks and a glass of wine.
Return across the salt flats to your hotel, ranked among the world’s top ten most unique properties. Built entirely from salt and offering remarkable views of the lake, it combines originality with comfort.
