Itinerary
Upon arrival at the airport in Managua, the country’s capital city you will be met by our Guide who will accompany you to the hotel in Managua. Accommodation in Managua.

Breakfast at the hotel 08h00 Journey to Matagalpa, the Pearl of the North. Sightseen Matagalpa City with a visit to the Coffee Museum and Saint Peter Cathedral. Rest of the day at leisure to be in contact with the lovely nature. Accommodation at Selva Negra.

09h30 Coffee Tour: In this mostly walking seed to cup tour with a local guide you will get a chance to visit our nurseries, coffee plantillos (coffee bush) where you will learn about shade coffee, organic laboratory and about organic farming methods. The tour will continue to the picking and weighing of the coffee beans, we will follow the truck back to the wet mill where you will witness the process and end the tour in our museum with a cup of coffee.
13h30 Farm Tour: The Selva Negra Sustainable Farm Tour is recognized for pioneering innovative and sustainable farming methods. In this tour by minibus and local guide, you will see many of these sustainable farming methods that have gained it this reputation. You will pass by the organic laboratory, the worker’s housing, the greenhouses, cheese house, chicken coops, and stables where you will learn about the food being served at the restaurant. By the cattle pasture land, coffee plantation, and compost operations where you will see how we reduce, reuse and recycle at Selva Negra. Accommodation at Selva Negra.
