Itinerary

Upon arrival at Quito airport, meet your guide and enjoy a private transfer to your hotel. Settle in and take time to rest after your journey, surrounded by the Andean landscape.

Quito’s colonial centre is one of Latin America’s largest and best-preserved historic quarters. Enjoy a relaxed first glimpse of its churches, museums, and art-filled streets, ready for tomorrow’s flight.

Meal Plan: No Meal

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight from Quito to San Cristóbal, approximately two and a half hours. On arrival, meet the cruise team and take a short bus ride to the pier.

Visit the Interpretation Centre to understand the islands’ origins and conservation story. Continue to Frigatebird Hill for panoramic views, and if time allows, stop at Playa Mann before returning to the yacht.

Back on board, receive a route briefing and settle into your cabin. Enjoy dinner and your first overnight in the Galápagos, with the comfort of an air-conditioned cabin and private facilities.

This morning, ride a Zodiac to Pitt Point for a wet landing on the beach. Follow an active trail up volcanic tuff to spectacular viewpoints over the coast and surrounding sea.

Look for blue-footed, red-footed, and Nazca boobies in one area, along with frigate birds, seabirds, and playful sea lions. Conditions are excellent for swimming and snorkelling in clear waters.

In the afternoon, land at Witch Hill, an eroding tuff cone with lava formations and a white-sand beach. Snorkel and watch coastal birds before returning to the yacht for a briefing, dinner, and overnight.

After breakfast, cruise to Española, one of the archipelago’s oldest islands. Arrive at Gardner Bay for a wet landing on a wide coralline sand beach where curious sea lions often greet visitors.

Snorkelling here is outstanding, with opportunities to spot rays, reef fish schools, and white-tipped sharks. You may also enjoy kayaking while observing marine iguanas, mockingbirds, and Sally Lightfoot crabs.

In the afternoon, explore Suarez Point, a famed bird sanctuary. Watch for waved albatross during nesting season, plus Nazca and blue-footed boobies, gulls, and tropical birds, then return for dinner and overnight.

Today begins with a wet landing at Post Office Bay on Floriana's north side. Learn the story of the historic barrel mail system used by sailors, and enjoy time on the sandy beach and nearby trails.

Wildlife is often plentiful, including finches, lava lizards, sea lions, and yellow warblers. Swim or snorkel in the calm waters, and hike to viewpoints that reveal beautiful island panoramas.

In the afternoon, visit Cormorant Point with its distinctive greenish, olivine-rich sand. Walk to the brackish lagoon for flamingo viewing, then continue to a white-sand turtle nesting beach before returning to the yacht.

Early this morning, make your final Galápagos landing on North Seymour. Walk through nesting areas of blue-footed boobies and observe magnificent frigate birds, sea lions, lizards, gulls, and native plants.

Sail to Baltra Island and transfer to the airport for your flight back to mainland Ecuador. Continue onward via Guayaquil with your connection to Peru, transitioning from island wildlife to Andean culture.

Arrive in Lima and enjoy a private transfer to your hotel in Miraflores or San Isidro. Settle in and rest, or take a gentle walk along the Malecón to enjoy coastal views.

After breakfast, meet your guide for a tour of Lima’s historic centre, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Cathedral of Lima and the San Francisco Convent, including its evocative catacombs.

This experience highlights Lima’s colonial heritage and the city’s role as Peru’s cultural heart. Enjoy free time afterwards before transferring to the airport for your flight into the Andes.

Fly to Cusco and transfer privately to your hotel. Spend the evening at leisure to acclimate, keeping plans gentle as you adjust to altitude in the former Inca capital.

Begin with breakfast before exploring Cusco, where Inca stonework and colonial architecture blend across plazas and narrow streets. Visit the Cathedral and Plaza de Armas, central to the city’s history and daily life.

Continue to Koricancha, the revered Temple of the Sun, and learn how sacred Inca sites were layered with Spanish construction. The tour reveals Cusco’s unique cultural fusion and enduring traditions.

Outside the city, visit key archaeological locations including Kenko, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay, and the impressive Sacsayhuamán fortress. Return to your hotel with time to relax and enjoy the evening.

Travel into the Sacred Valley to Pisac, a charming town known for its vibrant indigenous market. Browse stalls featuring alpaca textiles and handcrafted items, and enjoy friendly interactions with local artisans.

Continue to Ollantaytambo, a remarkable fortress and living Inca town. Explore terraces, temples, and defensive walls that reveal its strategic importance, while the village life keeps ancient customs present.

The site is often described as a “Pueblo Inca Viviente,” reflecting traditions still practised today. Enjoy the day’s included lunch as planned, then return to rest, surrounded by the valley’s dramatic scenery.

Depart early for Machu Picchu using a combination of train and bus transportation, including your planned tickets. The journey is scenic, moving from highland landscapes into lush mountain surroundings near the citadel.

Explore Machu Picchu, Peru’s most iconic archaeological site, with its temples, agricultural terraces, plazas, and royal structures. Learn about its spiritual significance and sophisticated construction techniques during a guided visit.

In the afternoon, begin your return trip to Cusco. Settle back into your hotel for the night, reflecting on a once-in-a-lifetime experience at the legendary Lost City of the Incas.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight from Cusco to Lima, connecting onward for your return home. Keep travel documents handy and confirm schedules, as domestic flight times can vary.

This final day concludes a journey that blends Quito’s colonial heritage, extraordinary Galápagos wildlife encounters, and Peru’s enduring Inca legacy. Share memories of Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu with family and friends.
