Explore the historic heart of Bogotá on a captivating itinerary that takes you through its must-sees. Your adventure begins with a visit to the Paloquemao market, a lively immersion in the local culture and its products. Then plunge into the La Candelaria district, where the colonial architecture and period atmosphere take you back to the past.
Continue to Plaza Bolivar, Colombia's political and historical center, surrounded by iconic buildings such as the Capitol and Casa Nariño. Continue your artistic journey at the Botero Foundation (closed Tuesdays), where Fernando Botero's exuberant creations and collection of international art will amaze you.
End your journey at the Gold Museum (closed Mondays), where pre-Columbian gold treasures and other artifacts immerse you in the history and culture of ancient Colombian civilizations.
Alternative to Paloquemao: Your tour begins with a climb to Monserrate, offering spectacular panoramic views of the city. Then delve into history as you explore the La Candelaria district, where colonial architecture and cobblestone streets take you back to a bygone era.
Optional: Empanada making Introductory Workshop
During this workshop you will learn how to make an empanada, a traditional Colombian snack. You can enjoy it just before lunch.
Optional: Graffiti workshop with a local artist
Join a graffiti workshop with a local artist in Bogotá for an immersive experience in the city’s art scene. You’ll meet a collective dedicated to urban art, learn about the origins and techniques of graffiti, and design your own piece with the artist’s help. This workshop will give you a deeper understanding of the graffiti culture in Bogotá and allow you to take home a unique artistic souvenir of your trip.

Transfer to the village of Villa de Leyva.
On the way, stop off at the Nemocón salt mine. In prehistoric times, the Bogota savannah was covered by the sea, and the interplay of tectonic plates turned it into a salt lake, and then an enormous underground salt reserve. On this 80-metre underground tour, you'll explore the imposing galleries to discover the salt waterfall, salt stalactites and stalagmites, and a chapel carved out of the rock.
Arrive in Villa de Leyva and discover the typical colonial village with its bougainvillea, olive trees and small white houses with flower-filled balconies. Our local guide takes you through the cobbled streets and squares of the village. You'll pass by the impressive Plaza Mayor, the largest in the country.
As an alternative to Nemocon: visit the Salt Cathedral
The Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá, 50 km north of Bogotá, is a unique architectural work dug into a former salt mine. Visitors descend through illuminated tunnels decorated with salt sculptures to the vast main hall, where an altar and a giant hanging cross stand, creating an impressive religious atmosphere. An interpretation centre at the end of the tour explores the history of the cathedral and the geology of salt in Colombia.

This morning, take part in a pottery workshop, a local specialty. Take advantage of your proximity to the village of Raquira to discover the handicrafts inside these colorful houses.
Transfer to the El Recreo family barn near Villa de Leyva. Here, we'll be welcomed by a traditional Boyacá family and treated to a lunch served under the arches of their 200-year-old house.
We'll discover the art of weaving through the expert hands of Doña Daniza, and in particular the techniques involved in making the “ruana”, the region's traditional poncho.
To round off this half-day of sharing, we'll try our hand at Tejo, a traditional Colombian game reminiscent of pétanque! The game consists of exploding a firecracker using a metal pebble thrown from a certain distance from the target (1 shot of local brandy included / pers).
You'll then be welcomed to Tinjaca, in the workshop of Don César, a specialist in carving tagua seed, the country's “vegetable ivory”.
Optional: Day visit to the surroundings of Villa de Leyva with the ancestral path Pinturas Rupestres de Sáchica
This morning, you're off to Sáchica! The Pinturas Rupestres de Sáchica ancestral path invites you to walk between the valley and the rocky shelter, the route punctuated by the sound of the river that we border for a few kilometers, this harmonious and relaxing route leads us to a beautiful archaeological site of pre-Columbian art with hundreds of symbols.

Transfer to the village of Barichara.
Welcome to Barichara, an Andean village founded in 1705 and perched at the top of the Suarez River canyon. Discover its cobbled streets and colonial stone architecture with the help of our local guide. Explore the artists' studios and don't miss the paper museum (open Monday to Saturday), which reveals traditional papermaking techniques.
Immerse yourself in the world of Colombian creativity and craftsmanship!
Optional stopover on the way from Villa de Leyva to Barichara: Visit an ancient monastery, Monasterio Ecce Homo, to broaden your knowledge of the evangelization of the natives.

Accompanied by your local guide, you'll walk along the Camino Real, a picturesque stone path lined with acacia trees that once served as the main road linking the region's villages. This historic path, dating back to colonial times, was crucial for trade and communication between local communities. After a two-hour walk, you'll arrive at the village of Guané, a place steeped in charm and history.
Return to Barichara by Tuc-Tuc, a local means of transport that allows us to fully appreciate the scenery of the Rio Suarez canyon.
Elevation gain: 510 meters negative and progressive (start of walk in Barichara 1340m - end of walk in Guané at 830m altitude).
Afternoon free to enjoy the charm of Barichara.
At the end of the afternoon, you'll have the opportunity to take part in a painting workshop inspired by the colorful lands of the Santander region that you'll have explored during your stay. Do you think you have to be an artist to paint? Try your hand at creating a small painting! A workshop that's both meditative and entertaining, held in a charming house typical of the region.
Optional: Gastronomic experience at Finca Los Hoyos, authentic and educational discovery of traditional Colombian corn-based cuisine and transfer by chiva - traditional transport.
Optional: Tapia Pisada miniature workshop, local construction method
Barichara Barichara is a village renowned for its building construction methods. Take part in an introduction to “tapial”, a “pisé” technique, on a small scale. Manipulate the earth and form your own small “tapia pisada” wall.

In the morning, transfer to Bucaramanga airport. On the way you cross the Chicamocha Canyon, one of the world's largest canyons, 227 km long and 2 km deep.
Flight from Bucaramanga to Pereira with connection to Bogotá.

The coffee region is very attractive for its historic and colonial towns, farms, coffee plantations, beautiful nature reserves and scenic beauty.

Departure for the Cocora Valley. You'll embark on a beautiful walk through the cloud forest, a unique ecosystem characterized by mystical mists and lush vegetation. During your hike, you'll have the opportunity to admire the majestic wax palms, Colombia's national tree, whose impressive height can reach up to 70 meters.
Next, transfer to the village of Salento, where you can soak up its colonial architecture, including the charming, colorful balconies that embellish the facades of the houses.
The tour continues to the picturesque village of Filandia, famous for its brightly-colored houses and central square surrounded by lively café terraces, offering a welcoming and lively atmosphere.
Optional (for more authenticity): Walk in the El Silencio wax palm forest and visit the village of Pijao.
Departure for the Pijao region (1h transfer). Transfer to Bosque de Niebla El Silencio by Willys Jeep (50min transfer). Jeep Willys were imported to Colombia after the war to make it easier for farmers to get around in this mountainous region. The Willys Jeep still performs this function, but is also used for tourist transport.
Populated by giant palms that seem closer to heaven than to earth, the Bosque de Niebla El Silencio is an intoxicating place of rare beauty, with a surprising diversity of fauna and flora in multiple shades of green. Before reaching the wax palm forest, it's necessary to hike for about 1h15, enjoying spectacular views of the mountains and crossing an oak forest. Arrive at the wax palm forest and free time to enjoy this unique place (2h30 total return walk).
Transfer to the village of Pijao. Lunch in a local restaurant.
After lunch, coffee tasting in the village square. Visit to the typical village of Pijao. A little out of time, this little-visited village surprises visitors with its authentic atmosphere and the friendliness of its inhabitants, with whom every casual conversation turns into a life story. Pijao has been deeply marked by the era of violence, but the page has now been turned and the gentle pace of life is being enjoyed. So much so, in fact, that Pijao has been named one of the world's “slow villages”.
Optional: Drive to the Cocora Valley in a Willys jeep (private or shared). Willys jeeps were imported to Colombia after the war to make it easier for farmers to get around in this mountainous region. These vehicles have become icons of rural Colombia, associated with country life and agriculture.
Optional: Visit to a private nature reserve to plant a “Palma de Cera”.
Departure for a private nature reserve located between Salento and the Cocora Valley. You'll be welcomed with a glass of canelazo (a hot drink flavored with aniseed brandy, sugar cane and cinnamon). Amid nature, surrounded by mountains and wax palms, you'll participate in the preservation of Colombia's emblematic tree by planting a wax palm. This activity gives you the opportunity to actively contribute to the preservation of this emblematic species, while creating a deep bond with Colombian nature.

In the morning, departure for a traditional coffee finca.
Arrive at the hacienda and discover the coffee culture, where the entire process is explained, from harvest to cup. This didactic immersion in the world of coffee will enable us to discover the methods used to collect and select the beans, as well as the process from drying to roasting to obtaining the final product. End the visit with a cup of coffee!

Between lush jungle and dream beaches, you walk the paths leading to Cabo de San Juan, a small cabin perched on the rocks, reminiscent of the Garden of Eden that was Tayrona Park.
Tayrona Park is one of the most visited natural parks in Colombia. This place is home to a wide variety of animal and plant species. The altitude varies from 0 to 900 meters throughout the park. The region offers a tropical jungle landscape, with many century-old trees and lush vegetation.
Notes: About 5 hours of walking there and back from the entrance to Cabo San Juan. Shorter alternative possible.
Tayrona Park will be closed for three periods in 2026: From 01/02 to 15/02, from 01/06 to 15/06, from 19/10 to 02/11.
Optional: The Taironaka site and descent of the Rio Don Diego by buoy.
If you're looking for a mix of culture, nature and entertainment, this is the perfect activity for you. You start your tour at the Tayronaka Archaeological Park. When you arrive, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to discover the vestiges of the Tayrona culture that inhabits the region. You can go tubing down the Rio Don Diego, which is great fun. You can admire the natural surroundings and perhaps even spot monkeys and other animals. You'll be provided with a life jacket so you can take a dip on the way down.

We invite you to step back in time and relive some of the highlights of the city's history on our walking tour. Cartagena was repeatedly attacked by pirates, the most famous of whom was Captain Francis Drake! You'll discover the church and monastery of San Pedro Claver, the Cathedral, also known as the Basilica Minor, and the colonial houses lining the streets of the historic center. Finish your visit with a tasting of artisanal ice cream.

La Boquilla is an Afro-Colombian fishing village located 20 minutes from Cartagena, on the beach and surrounded by mangroves. After visiting the community, you can enjoy different types of native and migratory birds aboard a local boat through the mangroves. The energetic young people of La Boquilla will then invite you to try your hand at a percussion class to perform Afro-Caribbean rhythms.
Optional: Guided tour of the Popa convent and San Felipe fort. Fort San Felipe is a masterpiece of military architecture, built in 1536 to defend the city from the many pirates and privateers. The Convent of La Popa offers a panoramic view of the city and its many working-class districts.
Optional: Relaxing day on an island in the Rosario archipelago (day tour). Enjoy an unforgettable day of adventure on one of the mystical islands of the Rosario Archipelago, a veritable natural treasure off the coast of Cartagena, Colombia. You'll be transported by sea to this paradise archipelago, where a full day of wonder awaits you.
