Itinerary
Upon arrival at Rovaniemi Airport, a transfer will bring your clients to Apukka Resort (approx. 15 minutes). Accommodation is arranged in Aurora Cabins – warm and well-equipped units featuring panoramic glass roofs for optimal Northern Lights viewing. A three-course dinner is included this evening. Overnight in Aurora Cabin.
Meal Plan: Only Dinner
Following breakfast, clients will join a 2-hour husky safari (7–10 km). This guided experience offers a chance to glide through Lapland’s snow-covered forests with a team of energetic huskies. In the evening, a traditional Christmas dinner will be served at Restaurant Aitta. A festive atmosphere and a possible visit from Santa himself will round off the celebration. Overnight in Aurora Cabin.
Meal Plan: Breakfast and Dinner
After breakfast, the day is free for optional activities. Suggestions include a visit to Santa Claus Village, snowmobiling, or ice fishing – all available on request. In the evening, clients will board the resort’s signature Snowtrain for a 3-hour aurora hunt. The tour includes a warm bonfire stop, storytelling, and hot drinks. Return to the resort for overnight in Aurora Cabin.

Breakfast is served at leisure. This day is left open for clients to select from a wide range of winter activities. Optional excursions include snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, reindeer sleigh rides, or a guided snowmobile safari. Activities can be pre-booked or arranged on-site. Overnight in Aurora Cabin.

Apukka’s Aurora Cabins offer excellent visibility for Northern Lights sightings – advise clients to set the in-room Aurora Alarm for a chance to catch the lights from the warmth of their bed.
