Itinerary

A warm greeting from your driver on arrival at Edinburgh airport before your private transfer to your hotel in Glasgow for check in. Once settled in, spend the afternoon exploring this fine city on foot as our expert guide makes sure you see all of the top landmarks such as George Square, Glasgow Cathedral, Necropolis and Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum. Finish up at the incredible Mackintosh House, home to one of the most important collections of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the Scottish architect, designer, and artist. Overnight in Glasgow.

Meal Plan: No Meal

Leave the city behind and take the train from Glasgow to Inverness, the capital of the Scottish Highlands. Enjoy the magnificent views and dramatic scenery along the way. On arrival, a private transfer will take you to your hotel to check in before you join your shared tour to visit the home of ‘Nessie’ – Loch Ness. Enjoy a relaxing cruise on the loch and learn more about its wildlife, including, of course, the famous mythical monster. Keep your camera handy in case Nessie makes an appearance. The cruise also includes a stop at the historic Urquhart Castle, where you can explore the ancient ruins and take in the stunning views over the loch before returning to Inverness.

Meal Plan: Breakfast

Meet your local driver-guide and join your small group (maximum 15 people) for a full-day tour of the idyllic Isle of Skye. Begin with a visit to the iconic Eilean Donan Castle, beautifully set on a small tidal island where three sea lochs meet, before continuing across the Skye Bridge to explore the island’s rugged landscapes, medieval castles, and picturesque fishing villages. Known as ‘The Misty Isle’, Skye has long enchanted poets and filmmakers with its dramatic scenery and mystical charm. Soak up the local atmosphere and end your day in Portree, where you can enjoy a hearty pub meal and a pint of local ale before returning to Inverness.

Meal Plan: Breakfast

After your private transfer to Inverness train station, continue your journey with a scenic train ride to Edinburgh. The route passes sparkling rivers, lush valleys, and forests. On arrival in Edinburgh, spend the afternoon with other guests on a guided food walking tour, sampling the very best of Scottish cuisine. This is your chance to try authentic classics such as haggis, neeps, and tutties, washed down with a dram of whisky. In the evening, enjoy some free time to explore the city at your own pace, perhaps wander the historic streets, visit a cosy pub, or simply relax at your hotel.

Meal Plan: Breakfast

Meet your local driver guide for a private full day tour to the Scottish Borders. You will explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site Hadrian's Wall built by the Romans in 122 A.D. Along with many quaint Scottish Border towns such as Hawick and Jedburgh a former royal borough and market town, an enjoyable day spent exploring one of the most historically important parts of Britain. Overnight in Edinburgh.

Meal Plan: Breakfast

Take a final walk and capture your farewell photos of the Scottish capital. Before heading to the airport, enjoy a visit to The Scotch Whisky Experience, where you’ll learn about Scotland’s most famous export through an engaging tour and tasting.
