At 09:00 you will meet our guide and depart from Reykjavík Natura Berjaya Iceland Hotels, Nauthólsvegur 52, 102 Reykjavík. We pass the picturesque Hvalfjörður fjord and the town of Borgarnes. Easy hike at the Grábrók volcanic crater in the middle of a greenish lava field. Hiking boots and warm clothing are recommended. The hike takes 30-45 minutes for the round trip. In the afternoon we visit Glaumbær, one of the most beautiful peat farms in Iceland and a folk museum. We continue along the picturesque fjord landscape and over several mountain passes to Akureyri, the capital of North Iceland. Staying overnight in Akureyri gives you the opportunity to explore the city on foot.

In the morning, explore the town of Akureyri, also known as the capital of North Iceland, and admire panoramic views of the Eyjafjörður fjord. Optional whale watching tours are available at 09:00 AM.
In the afternoon, head to Goðafoss, the waterfalls of the gods. You will then explore Lake Mývatn, known as a geological wonderland and for its abundant birdlife. Marvel at the strange lava formations at Kálfaströnd, the pseudo-craters at Skútustaðir and the Tephrakegel Hverfjall. Finally, we end an exciting day with a relaxing swim in the Mývatn Nature Baths, which contain a unique blend of minerals, silicates and geothermal microorganisms. The warm, soothing water is equally good for skin and mind.

In the morning, we hike in the lava maze of Dimmuborgir, the "dark castles", hoping to catch a glimpse of the trolls that are said to live there. We will visit the Námaskarð hot springs area with bubbling mud pools and steaming solfatars. We drive through the uninhabited highlands and the moon-like environment to East Iceland. With a bit of luck, we will spot an arctic fox or see reindeer.

A day to admire the dramatic fjord scenery and small fishing villages at the end of the winding roads of the East Fjords, and to visit an attractive collection of stones and minerals. In the afternoon, we will see Vatnajökull – Europe's largest glacier, which can be seen throughout southeastern Iceland. We will end the day with a stop at the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, filled with floating icebergs, and explore this extraordinary place and perhaps see seals swimming in the Arctic waters. You can walk on the black sand beach (The Diamond Beach) where large icebergs are stranded.

Today we travel along the southern part of the Vatnajökull glacier and spend time in Europe's largest national park, which is home to Iceland's highest mountains, an alpine environment and Europe's largest glacier. In the morning, a beautiful drive with many natural wonders awaits you as you cross the Eldhraun lava field and cross the sandy desert of the south coast, overlooked by mountainous cliffs, glaciers and waterfalls. Experience the unique Icelandic lava show, where you can experience and feel the heat of the molten lava! We walk along the black lava beach of Reynisfjara near Vik. In the small village of Skógar is the 60-meter-high Skógafoss waterfall, one of the most impressive waterfalls in the country. We continue to the tall but narrow waterfall Seljalandsfoss, which plunges over the mountain. Behind the waterfall there is an interesting path – if you are ready to get wet!

Today we explore the classics on our journey to the sights of the Golden Circle. We start the day in Friðheimar, where we visit a geothermal greenhouse and learn about the Icelandic horse, its special characteristics and its history. Later, when we arrive, we see the steam from the geothermal fields of Geysir. There are a variety of hot springs and bubbling pools here. The original geyser is now extinct and has been replaced by the Strokkur, which erupts at intervals of 5-7 minutes. Continue to Gullfoss, the "golden waterfall," a double waterfall that plunges 34 meters into the Hvítá River and attracts travellers in both summer and winter. We head inland to Þingvellir National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the way back to Reykjavík, we will see the highlights of the world's northernmost capital on a short city tour. The guided tour ends on Thursdays between 16:00-18:00 with a final overnight stay in Reykjavík.
