Climate

Denmark is characterized by temperate climate with cold winters from November to March and comfortable summers between June and August. Usually the temperatures in winter goes down to 0 degrees Celsius and in the summers it reaches 15 degrees Celsius. Autumn months are between September to November and are usually wet and cloudy.

Places to Visit
Copenhagen

The capital city of Denmark is a bustling town that is culturally vibrant and modern in its outlook. It has beautiful gardens and historical monuments that make it a preferred tourist destination. While in Copenhagen definitely visit the Tivoli Gardens, the palaces, Statens Museum for Kunst, Nationalmuseet and the Nyhavn, a lovely place to get a glimpse of Copenhagen café culture.


Bornholm

The warmest part of the country, Bornholm is located in the Baltic sea. It is characterized by sunny skies, green leafy forests, white sandy beaches, rocky cliffs and a medieval fortress. Billund

The birthplace of Lego toys, Billund is a small town in central Denmark. It is home to the Lego Group head office. The most popular tourist attraction here is the Legoland Billund theme park. You will see the child in you storm out at this fascinating place.


Zealand

It is the largest island in Denmark and also the 13th-largest island in Europe. It has some of the finest beaches in Denmark and grand castles. While here visit West Zealand, the only green bite in the island and experience contrasting landscape from green hills, long Viking fjords to beaches and high cliffs.


Helsingor

A port city of Denmark, Helsingor is renowned for its castle, Kronborg which William Shakespeare depicted beautifully in his play- Hamlet. A visit to the M/S Maritime Museum of Denmark is a must while in the city. It depicts 600 year old history of Danish seafaring. Explore the medieval quarter on foot and see the well preserved Carmelite Monastery and St. Mary's Church.
