Overview
Zimbabwe derives its name from the spectacular stone structures of the Great Zimbabwe ruins, a World Heritage Site with a mysterious origin. The country is home to another four World Heritage sites, including the rugged granite outcrops of the Matobo Hills, the spectacular conservation area of Mana Pools and the magnificent Victoria Falls. One of several protected wildlife areas on the shores of the Lake, Matusadona is bounded on the west by the Ume River and on the east by the Sanyati River. Remote and isolated, the park receives fewer tourist numbers and provides an exclusive game viewing experience. Game Drives
Lead by one of our experienced guides, you’ll see magnificent wildlife indigenous to the area. Your guide will show you the hidden spots best for game viewing and give you an insider’s knowledge. With years of experience, our Camps guides are some of the best.

Game Walks
One of the best ways to experience and feel a part of the African bush. Our professional guides have expert knowledge of the area and accompanied by them, you can be introduced to the Matusadona National Park in a completely different way. Walks are best in the early mornings or late afternoons when it is not too hot. We recommend wearing neutral or “bush” coloured clothing and as the terrain can be uneven and rocky, comfortable walking shoes and socks are required.

Fishing
Lake Kariba is the world’s largest man-made lake, covering almost 5,600 square kilometers and this vast expanse of fresh water is home to some fantastic fish species including the famous Tiger fish, Tilapia bream, Catfish and the mighty Vundu. For most of the year, Lake Kariba is truly one of the greatest places in Africa for fishing.

For those guests who like to have a go at catching their own lunch or dinner, your daily catch can be returned to you ‘a la’ snacks deliciously prepared for you by the chef. Fishing is available throughout the day and we have experienced guides specifically for this activity.

Sanyati Gorge Trips Changa Safari Camp
A short boat ride across the lake will bring you to the scenic Sanyati Gorge, where you can meander peacefully through the steep cliffs for up to 10 km. The Sanyati Gorge is both unspoilt and undisturbed with an abundance of birdlife, the occasional sighting of antelope and great fishing. Don’t forget your camera and binoculars for this activity as the dramatic landscape will leave you speechless

Photographic Safari Changa Safari Camp
Going on safari is an exciting prospect and, for many, when the dust has been wiped off your boots and the hat hung up till next time, there is no greater pleasure than poring over the special moments you’ve captured on camera.

Sunset Cruises – Bumi Hills
Encapsulating the essence of Africa, cruise along Lake Kariba at sunset and take in the wonderful African wildlife and aquatic animals in this incredibly majestic setting.

Boating Bumi Hills
Cruise down Lake Kariba while your River Guide tells you stories passed down from generation to generation, tales of traditional fishing and the local people.

Stargazing Bumi Hills
After an day in the bush, relax next to the camp fire and allow yourself to get lost in the starry night above. At night the stars utterly dominate the land; their brilliance and immediacy are totally arresting. Our guides have a growing passion in astronomy and are able to show you show you several star constellations including those which make up the Milky Way.
