Overview
This tour takes you to the scenic Japan Alps to visit Takayama, an elegant city of craftsmen famed for its streets lined with old merchant shops and sake breweries.You also visit Shirakawago, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and Kanazawa, a charming old castle town, famous for its cultural heritage and the beautiful Kenrokuen garden.
Detailed Itinerary
Arrive at Narita International Airport (NRT) or Tokyo International Airport (HND). Meet an Multilingual and a English speaking assistant and board an airport limousine bus or train. Transfer to your hotel / station near hotel on your own
Guided Tour in Tokyo (9:00 17:00). Transfer to your hotel with your guide.
Your main suitcase will be transferred from Tokyo to Kyoto. Please leave your main suitcase at the bell desk or the front desk by 7:30 AM. Travel with an overnight bag for your nights in Takayama, Shirakawago and Kanazawa (3 nights). Guided Tour in Takayama 8:30 17:00. Transfer to Nagoya by bullet train with your guide. (100 minute). Transfer to Takayama by limited express train with your guide. (150 min.)
Visit: Yatai kaikan / Jinya House / Kamisannomachi. Transfer to your accommodation with your guide. Dinner at ryokan.
Breakfast at ryokan. Guided Tour in Takayama & Shirakawago 9:00 17:00
Transfer to Shirakawago by local bus with your guide. (50 min.)
Visit: Takayama Morning Market / Wada House / Observatory Deck
Transfer to your accommodation (a small traditional Japanese house) with your guide. (No private bathroom. Towels, toothbrush not available.)
Breakfast at minshuku. Guided Tour in Kanazawa 8:30 17:00. Transfer to Kanazawa by local bus with your guide. (75 min.) Visit:Kenrokuen
/ Higashichaya Street / Nomura Samurai House After your check
in, guide will be dismissed.
Transfer to Kyoto by limited express train on your own. (130 min.)
Meet an English speaking assistant at the platform of Kyoto Station and be escorted until check in.
Guided Tour in Kyoto 9:00 17:00. Transfer to your hotel with your guide.
Transfer to Kansai International Airport (KIX) by airport shared van
on your own. *The exact pick up time will be informed by the hotel staff on the Day 5. (Approximately 4 hours prior to your flight)
