Portobelo is in the Province of Colon, which lies on the North of Panama and bordered by the Caribbean Sea. This province is full of historical anecdotes from the colonial era. Its name evokes the first Spanish expeditions to the West Indies searching for the galleon routes. Walking through the ruins of Forts Portobelo, you will be transported in time to the attacks of corsairs and pirates of the Old Continent. Today the region is full of natural sites of outstanding beauty, deserted beaches and forgotten people. Drive 2hrs approx. Panama City - Portobelo

Learn more about the history and magic of this ancient city in the company of one of our guides ; It will show you the ruins of its famous colonial forts, the historic Customs House, the Church of the Black Christ and other points of interest declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO while you stroll through the village to soak up the Afro-Caribbean Congo Culture.Duration: about 3hrs. Situated at the north of the provinces of Panama and surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, Colon region is full of history from the colonial times. Discover the fortress of San Lorenzo and Portobelo and learn about the attacks of corsairs and pirates of the Old Continent.

Transfer to Playa El Arenal in Pedasí, where your boat takes you to Iguana Island. Enjoy some relaxing time at the beach in this beautiful Island.
The island is famous for its white sand beach, crystal waters, extensive mangrove forests and coral riffs including 12 different types of corals that shelter more than 300 species of fish. Dolphins are frequently seen, as well as (harmless) sharks, turtles.Duration: 7-8 hrs aprox grouped service, including picnic with an English-speaking local guide and entrance fee.

The Pacific side of the Azuero Province offers pristine islands and beaches perfect for surfing. These coasts invite you to magical events of nature: the birth of Humpback whales and the nesting of 5 different species of turtles.

Explore the colonial area with a private guide: The Casco Viejo, neighborhood declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1980. Walk through the streets of Casco Viejo and visit different historic monuments, France Square (beautiful view of the modern city) and Bolivar Square.
Continue to Miraflores, where you can follow the technical operations of the canal locks from a platform. The Miraflores locks, is one of the 3 set of locks of the Panama Canal and lies in the Pacific side.
