At The Clermont, Victoria Hotel, Designed by James Thomas Knowles and opened in 1862, our beautiful and historic Grade II listed railway hotel is located adjacent to Victoria station and boasts links to the Circle, District and Victoria underground lines. You can get to Gatwick on the Express in half an hour. The Apollo Victoria Theatre by foot in just seconds. Morning after breakfast at the hotel take the panoramic tour of London, see Big Ben and the Houses of Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square and the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace. (Tour departs at 09.00 hrs from Victoria Coach Station and finishes at Victoria train station at 12.00 hrs). The tour begins with a panoramic drive around Parliament Square to see the magnificent Westminster Abbey, where Prince William and
Kate Middleton were married. To Kensington Palace, former home of Diana, Princess of Wales. We’ll see the Royal Albert Hall and Albert Memorial. Buckingham Palace and the Changing of the Guard. We head to St James’ Park and Buckingham Palace to see the colourful ceremony of the Changing of the Guard. Accompanied by a military band, a detachment of the Queen’s Foot Guard march to Buckingham Palace to change with the old guard. The tour finishes at Trafalgar Square at around 12.00 noon. Your guide will be happy to give you suggestions for lunch.

St Paul’s Cathedral: A guided tour of Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece – St Paul’s Cathedral – crowned by the magnificent dome that is so much a part of the London skyline. The Cathedral was rebuilt after the Great Fire of London in 1666. In recent years it has seen the wedding of Charles, Prince of Wales, to Lady Diana Spencer and, more recently, the thanksgiving services for both the Golden Jubilee and 80th Birthday of Her Majesty the Queen.
The Tower of London & the Crown Jewels: Founded by William the Conqueror in 1066-7 and enlarged by successive sovereigns, the Tower of London is one of the world’s most famous and spectacular fortresses. Over the past 1000 years it has been a Royal Palace, an armoury and a place of imprisonment and execution. The Beefeaters who guard the Tower will regale you with stories of its past. We will visit the Crown Jewels, including the magnificent solid-gold crown used at the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, the enormous Cullinan diamonds and the extraordinary Koh-i-Noor.
Admission to St Pauls’s Cathedral and Tower of London is included in the tour price.
Sunday in London – due to church services St Paul’s Cathedral is closed to visitors on Sunday. We will stop for photographs and spend longer in the Tower of London.

During the city tour of London, Guests are issued with a personal headset ensuring they never miss a word of the guide’s commentary.
Occasionally there may not be a Changing of the Guard, on these occasions we will visit Horse Guards Parade.
Black out dates: All tours will not operate during these days: 23/04/23 and 25-26/12/23.
Event Dates: 31/05-02/06 + 29/08-02/09/24.
NOTE: Please note that the check-in time is now 16:00hrs and check-out time is 11:00hrs for all glh hotels. Guests arriving prior to 16:00hrs will have the opportunity to leave their belongings with the hotel's Concierge should they choose to.
