Itinerary

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our guide who will then take you your hotel for your overnight stay in Kampala.

Meal Plan: No Meal

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you will transfer to western Uganda to Queen Elizabeth National Park. En-route we stop at the Uganda Equator and Mbarara Igongo Center for Lunch. After lunch proceed to Queen Elizabeth arriving early evening for check in. Enjoy an evening game drive. Dinner at the lodge.

06:00  Depart on an early game drive in the park with high expectations of seeing Lions, Hippos, Buffaloes, Leopards, Spotted Hyenas, Elephants, Antelopes and the elusive Giant Forest Hog in this park. Return to your lodge for breakfast and leisure time. 14:30 Depart on boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a channel that connects Lake Edward to Lake George.  Believed to be the biggest Hippo concentration in Africa, this area is also great for bird viewing as well as viewing many other wildlife as they come to take a drink of water.  This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography. Over 550 species have been spotted and recorded here that include Great White and Pink-Backed Pelicans, Great and Long-Tailed Cormorants, Open-Billed Stork, African Jacana, Malachite and Pied Kingfishers. Return to the lodge for dinner.

Breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, depart on a game drive in the morning as we drive through the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth, Ishasha Sector which is famous for tree climbing Lions. Lunch will be enroute at one of the Lodges. Later transfer to Bwindi for your overnight stay. The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is where you have the best chance of spotting a mountain gorilla family. Once you collect your permit, you are led across the rugged terrain and though the awe inspiring jungle to where the gorillas are located and then you track them for a short time. Aside from the amazing gorilla interactions, there are numerous forest walks and 346 species of birds to track down. This evening, you will relax at the lodge to prepare for tomorrows tracking.

After an early breakfast, depart to the park headquarters and proceed for a briefing from park ranger guides at 07:30 before starting your Gorilla trek at 08:00 through steeply forested and beautiful landscape along several animal trails. Waterproof ankle shoes are recommended or good athletic shoes. Wear thick long pants (not light weight khakis) to protect your legs from the underbrush. Bring heavy, long socks that can be pulled up over the pants to prevent any problems with stinging nettles and ants. Bring a pair of sturdy gardening gloves and protect your camera with a rain cover (a plastic bag or shower cap can work!). No more than eight people may visit any gorilla family on any given day so you can be assured of an intimate experience with these with these impressive animals. Once you reach the gorillas you have an unforgettable hour to spend with them. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for lunch. This afternoon, you will be taken on a village walk to Buhoma Village. This is a great opportunity to meet the people surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It also is a unique way to support the local community. Enjoy the evening to relax at the camp and trade stories with fellow adventures.

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, depart for Lake Mburo National Park, having a game drive while entering the park arriving in the early afternoon. Lake Mburo is an extension of the Tanzanian Plains with big herds of zebra, impala, eland and other savannah species plus the recently introduced Giraffes. For birders, this is one of the best places to find African Fin foot, Papyrus, Bush Shrike, etc. Lunch will be at the lodge and in the evening, you will take another Game drive to different section of the park in look out for more wildlife. Dinner at the lodge.

06:30 Enjoy an early morning game drive where you will try and spot the likes of  zebras, antelope, topi, buffalos and impala. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Proceed to Entebbe, Via the Uganda Equator for a short stop to take pictures. Lunch and shop for crafts from a number of shops in this area. Proceed to Entebbe after and check in at your hotel.

After an early breakfast by 07:30, transfer to Waterfront Entebbe with your driver (about 10 to 15 Minutes’ drive from the Hotel) to get on your motor speed boat to Ngamba Chimpanzee Sanctuary for a Chimpanzee experience. The boat ride takes 45 minutes to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary located 23kms from Entebbe on the 2nd largest freshwater lake in the world. View the serenity of over 130 islands and each has its history. You will view the feeding of the 49 chimpanzees at a very close distance on a raised platform along the edge of the sanctuary fence or water edge. At 12:15, you will embark on your boat back to Entebbe where your driver will be waiting for you to transfer you for lunch in Entebbe Town at around 13:00. After lunch, transfer to visit the nearby Uganda Wildlife Education Centre in Entebbe. 16:30 transfer to the waterfront to take a sunset cruise on Lake Victoria. Enjoy the unique view of fishermen casting their nets, fishing villages as they wind down the day and of course the golden circular site of nature’s eye going to sleep. The thrill comes from knowing that you are crossing the globe from the southern to the northern hemisphere on the equator as you sip on cold drinks. Later return to the mainland and your guide will be waiting for you to transfer back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast check out and transfer to Entebbe Airport, for your outbound flight. End of our services.
