Detailed Itinerary

Arrival at Trelew airport and transfer to the Valdes Peninsula, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve. After 170 km, we arrive at the lodge, nestled in a site with more than 20 km of beaches, which makes it a privileged place for wildlife. After checking in, guests will meet with the guide who, together with a map of the area, will help them coordinate the activities, inside and outside the property, taking into account the nights of stay, weather conditions, tide schedule and the particular interest of the passengers.

Meal: Lunch & Dinner

Departure to Bahía Bustamante, a Patagonian estancia surrounded by 360 ° of pure nature. Close to the sea, within Patagonia Austral National Park, declared an Area of Importance for Bird Conservation, being one of the few places in the world, which concentrates such abundance, and diversity of birds and marine mammals.

Meal: Breakfast, lunch and Dinner

During these days we will enjoy an activity, to have book time to relax or simply get to know the attractions.
Boat ride: (3 /4 hours approx.) We cruise along seaweed meadows of Malaspina Cove, to watch penguins and birds such as petrels, terns, olrog’s seagull and oystercatchers.
The Peninsula: (4 hours approx.) Ideal to visit by walking, biking, 4x4 or horseback riding.
Petrified Forest. (4/5 hours approx.) A trekking in this place is a living proof of how the landscape looked 60 million years ago.
Penguin Island: (3 hours approx.) During times of low tide, this island is connected to the mainland allowing us to visit and watch the penguins and their nests from nearby.
On the way, it is also usual to see maras, choiques and armadillos.
Cape Aristizabal (4 5 horas approx.) A 4×4 drive to reach Cape Aristizabal, an important rockery cape, characterized by its imposing landscape, dominated by the sea, the stone beaches and fauna.
De Piedra Canyon: (4-5 hours approx.) Trekking through the canyon where a river used to be, whose 15- meters- high walls (50 ft.) are composed of rocks originated from the Jurassic period of the Mesozoic era.
Historical and Seaweeds Tour (1-2 hours approx.) Walk through the village to learn about the history, its founder and its inhabitants.

Day 1: Transfer from Trelew Airport to Rincon Chico is private on excursion.
Days 2 & 3: Guided explorations within the property are half-day or full-day. The duration, difficulty level, distances to cover, possibility of wildlife sightings, viewing.
distances, and the number of animals to be observed depend, among other things, on the weather, tide schedule, and location of each colony and roosting site. At the end of each day, the guide will organize and inform guests about the explorations for the next day, and the choice will be based on the mentioned variables.
Day 4: Transfer from Rincon Chico to Trelew and from Trelew to Bahía Bustamante is private with a Spanish-speaking driver-guide.
Days 5 & 6: In Bahia Bustamante, one activity per day is included, with a bilingual guide, Spanish and English.
Day 7: The quote includes private transfer from Bahia Bustamante/Comodoro Rivadavia Airport without a guide. In case of a flight from Trelew Airport, add the supplement.
