In addition, Lake Manyara is the country’s largest breeding ground for tens of thousands of flamingos.

Ngorongoro Crater is often referred by many as the Eden of Africa, because of its great scenery and abundance of wildlife. You can expect to spot herds of wildebeest, eland, zebra, hippos, African elephant, gazelles and the rare black rhino in their natural habitat.
Another big draw card in this huge caldera is the denser population of predators which include lion, hyena, cheetah, jackals and the ever-elusive leopard that needs sharp eye to be spotted. All these animals are bounded by the volcanic walls of 600 meters and can be viewed in a very close range. Morning and Afternoon game drives. Drive back to Moshi/ Arusha.
Tarangire National Park derives its name from the Tarangire River that rises in the highlands of central Tanzania and winds its way through the game sanctuary. The river irresistibly lures the herds of plains migrants from the parched surrounding area to its shrunken - but permanent - brackish waters during the dry season.
The animals come by thousands from as far north as the shores of Lake Natron, dramatically swelling the resident population with wildebeest, zebra, and eland, elephant, hartebeest, buffalo and fringe-eared Oryx. As the rainless days continue the Tarangire’s pools are clotted with thirsty migrants, and elephants begin to dig for underground streams in the dry riverbed.
