Kyrgyzstan in winter is magical: from the beautiful views of the majestic mountains to Kyrgyz culture and traditions. This tour allows you to experience a winter fairy tale, enjoy beautiful landscapes, taste traditional food, and get acquainted with Kyrgyz culture.
We will pick you up at the Manas Airport in Bishkek and drive you to Tar Suu village located in Chon Kemin Valley. Transfer takes about 3 hours.
Upon arrival, you can have a rest, take a shower and sleep.
After lunch, we will enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride through this beautiful village and explore the lifestyle of the local people (approx. 1h).

After breakfast in the guesthouse, we go towards Issyk Kul lake, the pearl of Kyrgyzstan. Issyk Kul is the second largest alpine lake in the world after Titicaca. Its name means "hot lake" in Kyrgyz language.
Lunch at restaurant in Cholpon Ata. Along the way we visit Semenov gorge, located on the northern shore of Issyk Kul Lake. You can take a walk, enjoy the wild nature around you, and have a pleasant pastime in this beautiful place.
When we get to Karakol, we go to the hot springs located 20 minutes' drive from the city. What could be better than taking a dip in hot springs to relax your muscle and clear your head after an active day.
For dinner, we go to a local Dungan family. You will discover the fascinating story of why this Muslim Chinese group immigrated to the region 140 years ago. You will taste the delicious homemade dinner.

After breakfast we will visit the famous sights of Karakol as Russian Orthodox cathedral and Dungan mosque.
Then we head to Jeti Oguz gorge. The name of the gorge is symbolic and means “seven bulls” in Kyrgyz because there are seven giant red-brown rocks resembling furious bulls standing together. Lunch at the guesthouse or at a small café.
Then we go to the Barskoon Gorge. The gorge is famous for its waterfalls. One of the best known is Tears of a Leopard. Here you find the monument for the first cosmonaut Yu. A. Gagarin, who was very fond of this place and rested in the nearby Tamga military sanatorium.
Along the way we visit Skazka canyons, which translates from Russian as Fairytale. There you can find rocks of surprising shapes and sizes. A real skyscraper or an animal may appear in front of you. You can do short hiking in the canyons.

After breakfast at the guesthouse, we meet an eagle hunter with his bird of prey. Eagle hunting is one of the ancient traditions of nomads.
Then we go to the canyons of Ak Say. You hike to the panoramic point to enjoy a magnificent view of the canyons and lake opening in front of you.
Our next stop is Kyzyl Tuu village where the local family reveals the secrets of yurt production. This family is engaged in this unique art from generation to generation.
Arrival in Kochkor. Optionally we propose you meet the Kyrgyz women who show you the production of felt used in traditional carpets (option).

The road to Bishkek passes through the Boom gorge.
Along the way, we visit Burana, located about 80 km from the capital. The tower with funerary monuments, earthworks, remains of the castle, and three mausoleums – that’s all that last out of the ancient Balasagyn town founded by Karakhanids at the end of the ninth century.
Arrival in Bishkek. Free time before the dinner. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast in hotel, we start our city tour in Bishkek. We will visit the heart of the city, Ala- Too Square. After we can enjoy a walk in the Oak Park, one of the favourite places of local people.
After lunch, we will have time to visit the local market Osh bazar. Here you can appreciate the creativity and talent of local artisans. Just as you step the market, you plunge into the real oriental atmosphere: an interminable stream of people, a big variety of goods and colours.
In the evening, farewell dinner in local restaurant.
