Detailed Itinerary

Arrival in Frankfurt and journey to Rüdesheim. Today, you will explore the wine region of the Rheingau, located along the banks of the River Rhine between Wiesbaden and Rüdesheim. Along the way, you will visit the Eberbach Monastery, which is a landmark in wine culture. In Rüdesheim, a panoramic walk through the old city and the famous and narrow Drosselgasse and enjoy a private wine tasting of 3 different vines of the region.

In the morning, discover the beautiful region of the Rhine with its vineyards, rivers and castles, on a beautiful boat trip to St. Goarshausen, this is the most picturesque stretch of the River Rhine, known as the Loreley Valley, full of ancient forts and castles. The boat trip continues to the ancient Roman city of Koblenz.

Today, you will get to know the oldest wine-growing region in the country. The Romans already cultivated wine on the banks of the Moselle River 2,000 years ago. Here, you'll find the steepest vineyards in Europe. After visiting the famous "Burg Eltz" Castle, you will continue along the Moselle River, passing through picturesque wine villages like Cochem, Traben, and Bernkastel-Kues. The day concludes in Trier, an ancient Roman city with over 2,000 years of history. Here, you will enjoy a two-hour wine tour of Trier, including visits to wineries and tastings of two different wines.

In the morning, discover the various old buildings of the city of Trier. Then, the journey continues towards the famous “Weinstraße” (wine route). The first stop will be in Bockenheim, known for its Grape Madonna “Traubenmadonna”. Then the trip continues to Bad Dürkheim, where the largest barrel in the world, with a volume of 1.7 million litres, is located. Inside this wine barrel, there is also a restaurant where you can enjoy a tasting of 6 different wines, each with different characteristics such as dry, fruity, and full-bodied (each one 5cl). Later, you can also have dinner here if you wish (not included).

Today is the day to visit the "Deutsche Weinstrasse," which connects 130 wine-related places, also known as the Palatinate. It's a wine region with a lot of fame: it hosts the world's largest wine festival, the largest wine barrel, and every year it crowns the German Wine Queen. You should make frequent stops in the small wine villages like Wachenheim, Edenkoben, and Neustadt, and their family-owned wineries to taste the renowned Riesling, Graubunder, Silvaner, and Müller-Thurgau wines.

Travel to Heilbronn, which is one of the production centres in the Württemberg wine region, famous for its red wines like Trollinger. What's interesting is that the local population here consumes, on average, twice as much wine as the rest of the Germans! Continue to Heidelberg, the oldest University City in Germany, where you will visit the castle and enjoy a wine tasting at a local winery.

Return to Frankfurt. On the way, tour through Worms, known as “the city of Nibelungs”. Along with the cathedrals of Speyer and Mainz, the cathedral of Worms forms part of the most wonderful creations of Romanesque Churches. After a panoramic tour of the city, the trip ends in Frankfurt.
