Sunday Departure.
Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Tel Aviv. Accommodation at the hotel in Tel Aviv.
Visit the old city of Jaffa and discover Tel Aviv, also called the ‘White City’, by bus. Departure by the Mediterranean road towards the north. Visit Caesarea, the remains of the ancient city built by one of the greatest builders of Antiquity, Herod the Great (1st century BC). Continue to Haifa and visit the city, the largest port in Israel. Panoramic view of the bay of the Upper Mount Carmel, the Bahai Shrine and its gardens. Continue to Saint John of Acre. Visit the Crusader fortress and the Crypt of the Knights. Crossing the mountain ranges and valleys that extend from west to east in the Galilee region to Tiberias. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Tiberias.
Along the Sea of Galilee, you will go to the church of Tabgha, the place of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes, to admire its beautiful mosaics. You will continue to Capernaum, the adopted city of Jesus to see the ruins of the house of Saint Peter and its ancient synagogue. Ascent of the Mount of Beatitudes, the traditional place of the Sermon on the Mount. A short tour of a kibbutz to understand this very particular way of life. You will continue to Safed, the cradle of mysticism and Kabbalah. Visit of the old city with its colony of artists and a 16th century synagogue. We will end this beautiful day with a tasting in an Israeli wine cellar while enjoying the magnificent view of the vineyards of Upper Galilee. Return to Tiberias. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel in Tiberias.
Departure to Nazareth, one of the most important cities in Christianity. Visit the Church of the Annunciation. Descent through the Jordan Valley. On the way, view of Jericho, the oldest city in the world, and the Mount of Temptation. Climb through the Judean Hills to Jerusalem. In the heart of a neighbourhood in the centre of Jerusalem, you will stroll through the heart of the largest open market in Israel, Mahane Yehuda, to discover the flavours, aromas, colours and the interaction of the merchants with the crowd. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel in Jerusalem.
Departure to the Mount of Olives to enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of Jerusalem, the holy city for each of the three great world religions - Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus spent his last night and was betrayed by Judas. Arrival at Mount Zion, to visit the tomb of King David and the Upper Room, the site of the Last Supper. Through one of its gates, you will enter the Old City of Jerusalem to see the Temple Mount and its mosques. Visit the Wailing Wall, the holiest site in Judaism. Continue through the Cardo, the ancient main street of the Roman and Byzantine periods. You will walk the Stations of the Cross, the Via Dolorosa, to Calvary and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which houses both the traditional site of the crucifixion and the tomb of the resurrection. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Jerusalem.
Passing in front of the Knesset and the Menorah, symbol of the State of Israel Continuing to the Shrine of the Book of the Israel Museum with the famous Dead Sea Scrolls, then the model beautifully restored Herodian city of Jerusalem, dating back to the Second Temple period. Visit Yad Vashem, the official memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust, established in 1953, located at the foot of Mount Hertzl. Enjoy Ein Karem, a picturesque village on the southwestern outskirts of Jerusalem. This small village holds great importance in Christian traditions, as it is where, according to tradition, John the Baptist was born. Free afternoon in Jerusalem or visit the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Jerusalem.
Through the remarkable landscapes of the Dead Sea, we will travel to Masada, located on a remote cliff in the Judean Desert. The site was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. Ascend by cable car to the fortress, which was the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their war against the Romans. Visit the excavations, King Herod’s palace, the synagogue, the public baths and much more. The view of the Roman camps and the Dead Sea below is breathtaking. Continue to the site of the Qumran Caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. At nearly 1,300 feet below sea level, the Dead Sea is the lowest point on the earth’s surface. Bring your swimsuit, because if the weather is good, it is possible to “float” on the salty, mineral-rich water. Return to Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Jerusalem.
