Climate

Boracay

Oft called the beach capital of Philippines, Boracay has about 12 beaches, all pristine and pretty. White beach is one of the popular beaches while Puka Shell Beach is a great place to collect varied kinds of shells. If you want to enjoy some quiet time head to Cagban Beach. To get a panoramic view of the island scale up to Mount Luho. It is the highest point in the area and gives a spectacular view of the island dotted with numerous beaches.


Bohoy

Located in the central Visayas region of Philippines, Bohoy is a natural haven. It is home to the tiny Tarsier primate, popular due to its large eyes. It also has the unique Chocolate Hills in Carmen, a UNESCO-protected site. It has a collection of 1,200 geological formations that become brown during the dry season, looking similar to chocolate candy kisses.


Cebu

Cebu offers something interesting to do for everyone. Water-sports enthusiasts, must visit the island of Cebu as it has some of the best snorkeling and diving opportunities in the country. You can also indulge in underwater encounters with sea turtles, whales, sharks and coral reefs and experience the magnificent life underwater. Adventure enthusiasts can hike at the Sudlon National Park, which is about an hour from Cebu city while the history buffs can explore museums and cathedrals.


Banaue

Enjoy a different landscape from the coast, at Banaue. This rice terrace laden town has a different charm to it. The emerald-green terraces make for an impressive view with towering mountains in the background. Infact the Bangaan Rice Terraces and the the Batad Rice Terraces are UNESCO World Heritage sites. Stroll through the fields and get a chance to interact with locals.


Vigan

A historical town, Vigan, is a picturesque place to visit in the Luzon region. It has influences of both Spanish and Chinese cultures. Visit the Bantay Bell Tower to get a bird’s eye view of the city, walk down to Calle Crisologo, a historic area and also go to the St. Paul Metropolitan Cathedral to experience local culture and heritage.


Manila

Capital city of Philippines, Manila, is a bustling town with iconic monuments, historically relevant churches ( the San Agustin Church), market squares and modern skyscrapers. It is a fine blend of Spanish colonial architecture with modern structures and maker places. A must visit is the Fort Santiago, a multi storied citadel which was a military prison.
